People don’t understand they most likely told max to not make it to hard so people can actually complete it

The reality of these pro challenges is that yeah, obviously Max can probably go faster, but it's still a very challenging lap time to nail for about 70% of F123 players. It's taken me about a day or two each to nail the previous three pro challenges. Getting this time puts you in the top 30-ish% of times on the EA time trial boards. And trying to nail this lap time teaches you how to drive better in the game in general, too... you're forced to eliminate previously unrealised driving style mistakes, improve your cornering, maximise your setup, etc. It would be silly to have Max do a 1:25 and only have absolutely top tier players be able to match it. I think its a good balance of challenging but not intense pro-sim times. I've been playing the game for 4 months and I tend to clock in at about 3 seconds behind the fastest time on most tracks.

Tips to beat this challenge: - Turn off all assists: TC will restrict your power if you have it on and ABS promotes understeer while trail braking so have them both off - Practice the art of late braking into turns, trail braking through mid-corners, it’ll help you shave few tenths off your lap time - Get comfortable with getting back onto full throttle bit earlier than you think and you’ll save time - don’t hesitate to take short cut and use all the curbs with your inner tyres just on the white line so you don’t invalidate your lap All the best

This challenge was so hard for me, after like an hour of trying and my hands hurting from squeezing the wheel so hard, I managed to beat it by less than a tenth I believe. I was like 4 tenths quicker in S1 (Probably one of my favourite sectors of any track), I was about the same pace in S2 (sometimes quicker sometimes slower), but the third sector... The third sector of Suzuka broke me that day. I drove multiple laps that were on pace to beat Verstappen but then I get to the chicane and I lose 5 tenths, consistently .5 seconds of time lost EVERY. SINGLE. LAP. The lap that finally beat Verstappen had some rear locking into the last corner and mentally I was prepared to do another hour of pain but somehow I managed to save the spin (kind of) and the extra rotation set me up quite good for the next corner and I got on throttle quick enough that the last corner was no problem. Beat it with no time to spare but beat it regardless. (No assists btw so that's probably why I kind of struggled with locking up in the last chicane)

Dude is freaken quick.. closest I can manage is .6 off. I think these challenge's should have a tier system too them though like how they would in GT7 licence challenges to make us norms have a chance to get at least some rewards for our pain

I have been saying for a long time there needs to be more interaction between F1 and the game , max is the best at doing that , if after practice or after qualifying one of the drivers puts in an exceptional lap if codenasters could put a ghost car with there lap time that would be great.

Everyone saying Max probably did one or two laps... Possibly, but if you count how many laps of this track he's done across all sims he's probably done 10, 000 laps at least.

He can easily go faster than this, EA is not gonna post an unattainable lap time, EA F1 games are already on thin ice fan support wise so they don't need another reason for fans to hate them.

My record on these challenges is - Max in Holland - Pass Charles in Monza - Pass Alex in Singapore - Pass Max in Japan - Fail Max in Qatar - Pass Alex in Singapore Again - Pass Charles in Texas - Fail The Japan lap was especially maddening. I. Could. Not. Get. It. Aarrrrrrgghhhhhh!!

Does his revs look funny? My revs progress during time-trial, but his look more like they do during a race qualifying. That means he has 5kg less fuel if I'm correct. That would explain why he is able to corner but can also pull back 2 10ths on the straight. Regardless, I've beaten him by a 10th.
