This video is about an average life in the Yakut village. In Yakutia, the winter lasts for 7 months and the temperature can drop to as low as -71°C(-95°F). Tending animals in this severe climate requires hard work, but it suits the people who live here, because the hard work keeps them warm in the freezing temperatures.

It's true. This was the life of my late grandparents in the mountain Zvijezda, mountain range in Southeastern Europe called Dinarides or Dinaric Alps. My grandfather worked as a security guard at the mine nearby he walked for ten kilometres before the bus came to the village, and took care of 100 sheeps, dozen of cows and bulls every day. They did have running water and the lowest temperature were minus 30 degrees but everything else was the same. They both lived to be almost 90 years old, they would probably lived longer though if the civil war hadn't started in ex Yugoslavia and they had to escape their village.

"There are burned bodies of women who were raped and then burned, and they too at least 15 children with them as human shields, hoping that the Ukrainian army will not be able to follow them. It was unbearable and impossible to believe this is happening in the peaceful suburb area, where people who live [there] did absolutely nothing wrong. "And what we have seen are rooms for torture that the Russians were using. "And again, for no reason - they would be torturing them why? To get what? "They had already taken the cities, they already had everything that they needed." Please know the truth! Russian soldiers are using war crimes like Rape and civilian mass executions as tools of war! The people going to save a country from Nazi's would not rape and mass execute innocent civilians they are trying to save! They are bringing mobile cremation units to hide evidence of raping women and mass executions by turning all of the evidence to ash! Do not believe what the russian government tells you please! @@Viewer-ld5rc Not possessing any skill or knowledge with the subject, I'll try explaining. The shots are clear; saturation is more on the natural side, with I'm imagining some manipulation of colors; I usually detest drone shots, though here, it leaves out the ascension shots and helps make me feel like I'm tagging along with their day instead of only feeling like a viewer. I am in awe of how cohesive the filming helps with immersion in the scenes, it's done in a respectful yet engaging way. There's a contentment with sense of optimism that comes through the lens. Its high production quality captures what's happening in an authentic way, and takes what could be a very simple scene in a very simple story, yet it imbues fascination through the artful and playful way, while showing off great technical skill. I suppose bc it all comes together and makes me feel like I'm sitting around a campfire, listening to the stories of our ancestors, removing the sense of "otherness" and disconnect sometimes experienced when watching these types of videos. -------- Greetings from Scotland! Ahh! This reminds me of life on the farm when I was young! My Grandmother always hand milked the cows and I would stand beside her watching, sometimes I'd ask for a drink of the milk so she would say "Open your mouth wide!" Then she would squirt the milk directly into my mouth! Nothing tastes quite like that! It's not like milk you warm up afterwards, it has much more taste! In those days farm life was very different! Practically everything we ate was made right there on the farm. Everything had a use, just as you see here, nothing goes to waste or is thrown out! True organic farming the natural way! It was the same for our horses (Welsh mountain ponies) who only came down from the hills when the weather was harsh. I remember feeding them with carrots and one nipped my finger OUCH! 😊 Great memories of a life from a different time. What a wonderful life! Thank you again Kiun! Great video of life in your amazing

Anytime we wanted a glass of fresh cold milk there , it was waiting the cream, homemade butter...life on the ranch or farm the work was hard but there were so many blessings... Absolutely love it! Back in 1986, I was just 7 years old we flew several times from Berlin to Moscow and on to Irkutsk to Ulan Bator and on the way back to Yakutsk back to Moscow and Berlin on Aeroflot. From what I remember the flights where amazing. When we landed in Yakutsk the runway was frozen and the airport back then was just a single building and you could walk around on the Airport like it was a field. I remember that all the locals had chickens and a couple had goats on the aircraft. Great and unforgettable memories ❤️ Everyone that I have ever met in the Soviet Union was extremely hard working and very friendly people.

I also remember those times although I have never been to Yakutiya but people used to board Aeroflot with goats, watermelons and what not. People in the west will never understand but they lived happily and most importantly the whole village was considered a family in which everybody helped each other. When they slaughtered a pig, meat was distributed to everyone in the village and in that way everybody had fresh meat to eat everyday.

In western europe where temps can reach -20 (not often and not for long), up to around 1960s the farmers used to live above the animals especially in upland areas wher it was colder. The house was above the stable/barn. Most of the heat loss from the animals rose to the house. Which also had a fire. Alot of the time the stable was slightly build into a hill or mound so that most of it was surrounded by an earthbank except for the barn door. This greatly reduced heat loss.

@excellseeus-streamsandclip3562 this is such a rude comment. And in any case: Merriam-Webster defines a ranch as a “large farm for raising horses, beef cattle, or sheep,” or “a farm or area devoted to a particular specialty.” And a synonym for ranch is “dairy farm”. So they are farmers - they’re dairy farmers. Hope this helps! ✌️
