As someone who's driven a tank, I've yet to see one with such a spacious, comfortable, and quiet interior.

It's so crazy that the other drivers on the freeway who are seeing all this destruction just keep on driving like it's Frogger

I think it's inspired by the 1995 San Diego Tank Rampage. A man stole a tank from a army base. And terrorised San Diego. It came to a stop after he tried to go to the other side.

The first half with Tyrese and Paul was more realistic and better then anything in this scene

So Dom has adamantium bones, resistance to gravity, superhuman reflexes and an un-concussable brain but you can down him with one bullet. Ok.

Some impressive barrel rigidity on that thing. Most weapons wouldn't work after the initial yank of the car going under the treads, as the bending of the barrel would be more than enough. After that, it'd rip the whole barrel right off before flipping the thing, because those things are _heavy_ and far more so than the barrel could support. The turret might come loose instead, if the weapon is in there enough to actually stay (or, perhaps, if it were to get bent and itself go beneath the treads, which might be enough to tear the turret's mounting apart, but either way the thing wouldn't turn either after that kind of force and the shells definitely aren't going to go where you want them to, if they go through at all).

That's a pretty impressive winch cable to take that 50 ton tank at 100 km/h

That tank is probably similar to M75 Rulue, a possible 5th generation American main battle tank designed to replace the aging M1 Abrams series and to effectively counter the Russian T-14 Armata. But M75 Rulue is still under the concept and prototype status.

Despite my ciriticisms of this franchise, these movies do reignite my hopes. The hope that no matter how unrealistic, how fantastical and how impossible a story that someone comes up with, there will always be someone to finance, direct, act in, distribute and watch those movies.
