We went out in the field to test the behavior of the new low-power cellular technologies LTE-M (Cat-M1) and NB-IoT (Cat-NB1).We tested the range and how distance affects output power, received signal strength (RSRP), modulation and repetitions.

guys, good idea of test but I believe you had to re-test NB-IoT to present data. Otherwise, what is the point of comparison LTE-M vs. NB-IoT and what is the point of whole video if you are unable to show the NB-IoT results ???

Due to Covid-19 the re-test had to be postponed. We're working on plans for a re-test within 2021.

Which AT Commands did you use to make these mesaurements?

We did not use AT Commands, but modem trace. But it’s possible to see the quality of the signal from ENB (base station) through AT Commands. Fine field test and I am impressed how NB-loT is working. How does it look like in the crowded city? Did you test it in for example in Cracow where there are a lot of buildings, noises and similar factors that can limitited low power transmission distance. Please make the test here. What I know there is branch here in Poland in Cracow. I am waiting for next field testing from here or other cities.

We have not don't anymore testing. We are aiming to do more testing in the future. Thanks for the suggestion for place to do testing. We do indeed have a branch in Cracow.
