Calypso is the daughter of Atlas the titan that holds up the sky, the nephew of Cronus the father of Zeus (Zues and Atlas are cousins essentially), meaning she is the second cousin of Hercules/Heracles, and the second cousin once removed of Ariel.

This actually makes a ton of sense; Triton is the titan of the sea, and since Ariel is his daughter she could be considered an Olympian herself.

When I heard the news my heart broke I didn’t want to believe it! We didn’t realize along with this channel and us, our host, our internet dad, our best friend has been growing with us! Years ago this was my very first Film Theory and it peaked my interest, this sparked my love for theories! I subscribed instantly and fell inlove with Game Theory and Film Theory! My brain was starving for knowledge and my heart pounded with love for video games and my favorite disney characters! These channels encouraged me to question everything and to never be ashamed of this nerdy and silly side of me that I once kept away. To H E double hockey sticks to what other people had to say, these channels are my favorite show and safe place from the world that tries to tear my down! I am so proud to say that I am the biggest fan of these channels! They live in my mind, forever engrained in my heart, for eternity! They always come back! These channels are why I am inspired to be who I am completely and unconditionally! I will miss Steph and her nugget voice, the bright light she brought to every gtlive, and the courage she gave me to be a women and have the guts to be just as if not cooler, smarter, and funnier that the guys to doubt me! I will miss MatPat and his fnaf filled brain! The dad jokes will never get old and the LORRRREEEEEEE will live rent free in our minds! There are no words to describe how much we will miss you and the strength you gave us to be open minded! You have helped mold us into creative thinker who say “toss the box we always look outside of it anyways!”, you have filled our hearts with love, respect and appreciation for the art that people share with us everyday on the internet, food, fashion, and of course video games! My heart broke but revisiting my favorite theories my heart is full of love and gratitude! Not a day a will go by where I don’t think about what thing community has done for me and my life! I encourage you to continue on not with sorrow or sadness but with love and peace, Make, Create, Inspire our next generation of theorist to be more than what society tells us to be but rather use it as a steppingstone to be so much more! There's actually a few other things in different movies that connect them, In Aladdin during a Whole New World they fly through a bunch of backgrounds from other movies The Scar Skin in Hercules, like Matpat pointed out, implies they're in the same universe but it also doesn't really line up with Scar's death Getting eaten alive by hyenas wouldn't preserve the fur but that's probably why he didn't try to connect it

Indeed this theory is true. Ariel is the first Greece princess since she has her King Triton dad and is the son of Poseidon. And Disney has said that Atlantica's home in the Mediterranean Sea and Eric Castle are somewhere in Italy. Disney changed the Danish history and the origin of the characters. These two movies are my favorite.🤩💜🧡

Hey I'm just saying Hercules is Ariels uncle. Because technically Hercules would be Tritons cousin, and Tritons child would be Hercules nephew

Theory: Ariels mom was a siren from Greek mythology. King Triton, likely when he was just a prince, and Ariels mom fell in love in Neverland. Prince Tritons crew was lured by sirens and crashed the ship. Sirens often do that. However, Price Triton has a gift from his dad, the triton, that turned him into a merman, allowing him to survive. Ariels mom keeps to herself and sings about wanting more than just to cause ship accidents. She wants love for more than just her voice. Triton hears her and shows that he is a merman to her, and immune to the sirens lure. They talk and he wants to show her, his home. But she can't breathe underwater. Prince Triton asks for help from his sister (who I am assuming is just back home with Poseidon) to get her a day under the sea. She has to give something up though, so she chooses her ability to tall. The deal is struck and she loves the sea so much, she wants to live there. She lives with the other mermaids at Neverland and adapts to what they do; drown people. Soon she feell pregnant with one of their many children...if you want more, lmk

@TheFilmTheorists MatPat! I have a theory for you to cover! So recently I heard a theory about how Jack Frost from the Guardians is actually the BROTHER of Elsa's mom from Frozen. So basically how it works is that the theory states that after Jack "died" saving his sister, the Man in the Moon, AKA Manny as they call him, told her what he would do and bring Jack back as Jack Frost, all of this during the dark ages, so lots of magic. Manny also said that her first born child would have ice powers in honor of her brother who died protecting her. And so, she married the King of Arundel and became Queen (even thought that's not how it's supposed to work, but Frozen's had this problem in the past as you know) and her first born child was Elsa, and was born with ice powers. There's even a nod to this when the rock trolls ask the king and queen if Elsa was born with the powers or cursed, and they say born. And they definitely do look alike, or as much as they can since they would have went from rags to riches plus 10-20 years. But that's just a theory, a FAN THEORY! Thanks for reading! Aaaaand cut.
