well i mean there's a theory saying that Jax was all those keys because he is tryna to secretly find the exit and escape but he doesn't anyone else know that he is trying to do that so he covers it up sayin that i mean where else he would get they keys from? Cain himself ofc and thus why Jax's personality is like that.. he is tryna hide the fact that he is also obsessed with finding the exit but not being able to.. i mean he is just depressed at this point :D

I think Jax is a hacker that broke into the game. He has everyone's keys, like passwords, knows a lot about everyone who came before him, and seems to have a bit of meta interaction with the world.

He did say that in a strange way, but I think he's saying that Caine didn't fix the hand, so it just got better...somehow. That said, I wasn't expecting the issue to actually come back, but TECHNICALLY it could be unresolved if Ragatha for some reason has reason to press Pomni about it. We don't know for sure HOW exactly it was resolved, and we don't even know for sure if it's normal for Ragatha to have spread glitch to Pomni like that in the first place.

A note, Pomni didn’t keep the glitchy hand a secret. It was fixed when she was grabbed by Cain, and when ragatha was fixed Pomni realized her hand was fixed too.

I noticed this too. This to me means even deeper lore. I mean they directly focused on Pomni looking at her hand after it was fixed. The fact that Matt didn't notice something so apparent makes the rest of his theories invalid for me. I like his channels, but I don't trust the validity of anything that comes from them. He's just trying to make content to put food on the table. To the point he'll say anything to get views.

I think the reason kaufmo abstracyed was because he found out he was nothing more than a copy of a humans brain, once he figured that out he started to go insane because he actually thought he was getting somewhere with his exit finding shenanigans

Yeah, I was going to bring that up too... exit _to where,_ exactly? If they're copies and not the originals still jacked in, there isn't exactly a place for them to exit to, because those instances of them only ever existed within the Circus. ...It's also possible that "escape" may, in the end, mean _crashing the Circus_ and causing all of them to be deleted. Or maybe, the others are able to escape and exist within the internet, but one of them (Pomni) has to stay behind to make the crash take place, so when the Circus ceases to exist, so does she. Or or, she stays behind to _ensure Caine can't _*_follow_*_ the others_ and escape his "box", causing all kinds of Cipher-tier weirdness internet-wide if he did...

One error I think Matpat made was Pomni's hand. If I'm correct, her hand DOES get fixed once Ragatha is fixed by Caine, which makes it seem more like people who are "infected" by the glitching are tied to each other, and when one of them is fixed, anyone else they infected is also fixed. EDIT: some people have corrected me and I realize now that Pomni's hand was fixed after Caine pulled her from the void. It did glitch for a split second after she was brought back to the tent, but quickly stopped. So yeah my little theory doesn't really work. Matpat still made that error though haha

One thing that I noted that really bothers me about Jax is that whenever he talks, you actually never see his mouth. You only ever see his teeth whenever he talks, no matter how his mouth is shaped. Essentially, Jax is always “talking through his teeth” which usually is describing somebody holding back, whether through dishonesty or withholding anger. That combined with him not mentioning the glitching gloinks or him having access to keys that is clear he shouldn’t have.

During the TADC segment of the GLITCHX stream, they did a Q&A where Gooseworx was asked if the biblical references made any importance to the lore, they did mention that they did it for fun and that the original 3D testing of Pomni's model was on a cross.

It's also worth acknowledging that the creators have cited _I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream_ as inspiration for this series, and just like you propose (Pomni being the last left after she frees the others), that story ends with the main character being left stuck after freeing the other characters of the AI's control.

The idea that Pomni rescues everyone but can't rescue herself lines up with the story of "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream". In that story, one of the individuals rescues the others by killing all of them, with the last individual forever trapped in the land of torture.

Ghoosworx has explicitly stated they find religious references amusing. They confirmed the Last Supper imagery. I just checked; Pomni's hand stopped glitching when her eyes returned to normal from being in the void. it was glitching when Cain first brought her back but wasn't when Pomni was next seen. So her glitching hand resolved itself when she calmed down well before Ragatha was fixed!

I believe that Jax knows much more about this world and every "bad" thing that he does is an attempt to make the character's connection to what makes them individuals stronger. Additionally, the show creators would say that Jax is the most immoral person if he is against their goal, to abstract everyone.

Please note: Goose literally said in a livestream, "I lie all the time". And Michael Kovach (the voice for Jax) has even been told by Goose that "Jax dies". When Michael asks if Goose is serious, they answer tauntingly "You'll have to see..." ;) So there could be a chance all of the information MatPat finds quoted from Goose...could be just them lying for fun.

Here's a theory. Abstraction in computers and code means taking parts of a code that are no longer relevant and putting them towards something else. Clown guy abstracted. Was replaced with a jester. the program probably took parts of kofmo who was no longer participating in the games cause he was so obsessed with the exit (so no longer relevant to the game), and gave them to pomni when she showed up. Hence the jester. And possibly the reason she's so obsessed with that exit door. It's why abstracted people can't be saved. They're missing parts of themselves that you can't get back. Cause those parts are being used by someone else. Edit: Hey! I was not expecting this comment to get as popular as it did, usually my comments get no attention but seeing how many people interacted with this one, I just want to say that this whole theory wasn't my idea, I was watching random TADC videos and it was a potential theory in one of them. I already thought something like this was what was going on before I watched that video, but I don't want people to see this comment and think i'm solely the one that came up with it, or if they come across the random video think that I tried to take credit for their theory or something.

To add onto this: Goose has stated one of the inspirations for TADC was "I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream" and without spoiling too much, it ends with the main character "saving" the rest of the cast from an eternity of torment at the hands of an AI. Leaving the protagonist as the only one left trapped in the world controlled by an all powerful AI

You know, if the creator wanted Jax to be irredeemably bad; they kinda did a terrible job of showing it. Jax was kind of the MVP of the first episode. He upsets a lot of characters, but when you ignore the fact that he seems to go out of his way to make people upset with him, almost all of his tangible actions are helpful to someone else. He disrupts Pomni from spiraling into a catatonic state, he opens the door so they can check on Kaufmo, he gets Kinger and Gangle away from the only actual threat in the place, he kind of comes across as the type of person who puts a lot of effort into crafting an asshole persona, but cannot help but help people.

I think that kaufmo has been reincarnated into pomni. Because getting a constant stream of consciousness would be rxausting for what seems to be a run down or even abandoned builidng. Abstraction would allow the stripping of personality for reuse, aswell as utilising the same amount of "processing power" and pomni comes in right around the time kafmo would have died, also they're both clowns and share the same theme. and they're both shown doors. as for the other characters looking at each one of theme, kinger is gamepieces, jax is animals, zoobl is abstract pieces or bodies and so on and so forth Aldo by having only 5 consciousness could let real people be in the system and since whatever government could simply write it off, similar to how f and happened, it could allow them to fester for essentially forever.

Pomni's hand did get fixed when Caine fixed Ragatha. Your editor even used the scene that focuses on the hand that was now fixed. Now free of the glitching and bugging. I like to believe that the office that Pomni scurries through when heading out the faux exit is just an artificial copy of the room that Pomni was in when she was taken into the Circus, as Caine says that world beyond it "unfinished work." They all wanted there to be an exit and he was trying to make a world beyond the exit but never finished and left it to set. That's why we don't see Pomni or any other person's real body. Caine didn't do a 1:1 copy of the company because he can't see beyond the room where the computer is and so he's just guessing, and artificial intelligences love repetition when there's unrecognizable material that they must process so that's why the world beyond the exit seemed like a maze. I do enjoy the biblical allegories, especially when you think about the religious imagery Goose doodled with Pomni actually crucified and other funny little scenes.

I think that the Cain and Abel thing is probably going to be that the digital circus was a experimental video game in which the two leaders of a company, Caine and Abel, decided to try to develop a virtual reality video game and they needed a muse, then Abel goes into the game to be the muse, but he never reports back and then Caine goes into the video game and finds no trace of his brother. Then the game is put off the board and is never used, but other employees stumble upon the game and also go missing. Now it is in the 21st century and the company is still working, but now Pomni comes along and decides to try out the game herself.

If we take Dante's Inferno into this It makes a lot of sense to compare TADC to the Limbo Layer, the people living in the circus become abstracted from what we know mental torment due to the absence of an exit, the souls in the Limbo Layer are "punished" with the knowledge of the fact that they were denied entry from Heaven, and in the case of TADC, instead of Heaven, they live knowing that there is a reality beyond rather than this virtual world

I also love the parallel you brought up in your first theory video on TADC about “I have no mouth and I must scream”. I haven’t been able to map the characters from TADC onto Ellison’s short story, however going along with the religious interpretation of Pomni being the only one left after saving the others, that’s also what happens at the end of “I have no mouth and I must scream”. Ted is the only one left to suffer AM’s torment after murdering the rest of the people with him, as a way to “save them” from the suffering AM has already put them through and will put them through. He is the one who has no mouth and cannot scream. I really hope Pomni doesn’t suffer a similar fate though. Just a really interesting parallel alongside the religious interpretation!

This has a surprising amount of connections to the short story “I have no mouth and I must scream” by Harlan Ellison Much like the cast of TADS, 5 humans are kept artificially alive by an insane AI, and tortured for all of eternity. In the end, our main protagonist manages to help his 4 other fellow humans escape, but before he can escape himself the AI catches him, ensuring that he would be stuck there forever.

I always like to think that abstraction is a synonym for exiting and that Caine is purposefully trying to drive them insane to let them escape, but he kind of tries to hide the connection between the two so he can enjoy watching them suffer and use them for advertisements like the Wacky Watch and things alike. Also, what if the videos are actually uploaded by Caine just to advertise his products for the purpose of their company. It is also worth mentioning that SMG4 made a special called, "ITS GOTTA BE PERFECT," which features a similar virus-causing Glitch to go insane, similar to how abstraction occurs.

If Pomni does save everyone else but is stuck there alone, that would also parallel the ending of I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream, an inspiration for the show, where the lead sacrifices himself so someone else can die and escape but he gets stuck to be tortured forever.

Just wanted to clarify something that might be slightly off in the theory, While Jesus did descend after his crucifixion by Pontius Pilot, he rose again to Heaven on the 3rd day and that whole action is what saved everyone. By this logic with what you say, Pomni has already been "crucified" so this is her descent, now we will see how she rises on the 3rd day (or 3rd episode possibly) and will not be left behind, but instead lead the condemned "souls" of Jax, Ragatha, Gangle, Kinger, and Zooble out of their torture, or maybe some will refuse to go and will stay out of their distaste for Pomni (Jesus). Just wanted to spread a little deeper insight into that part of the story of Jesus because it seems like it could modify the theory of the plotline slightly.
