"Fire Dance" - World Percussionist: Tom Teasley

9 років томуPlease enjoy this video from my CD, "Dreams of India" and The Constellation Theatre production of "The Fire and The Rain". This solo is in a seven beat cycle and includes techniques from Turkey, S. Italy and India. The music is inspired by the great multicultural collaborations of Zakir Husain in addition to American jazz drummer, Art Blakey's recording "Orgy in Rhythm". I'm performing on cajon, djembe, and other percussion on the backing track as well.

This is brilliant. In your description, a well-placed comma would relieve me of the impression that you found a collaboration between Zakir and Blakey (I'm pretty sure you didn't mean that).
