Such a true statement. It's been awhile since I've looked (I needed a break from all the crap) but this came up in my YT feed and I forgot how cool it is to watch a newbie experience Tom. This is one of my favorite songs by him that blew my mind upon first listening. "Brainwashed" was another, but hell they all are great. When Tom is on point, he is on point!

Couldn’t agree more. I only just recently discovered Tom and can’t get enough of it. You don’t have to agree with how he says what he says. You are in denial if you don’t understand what he is saying. Pure truths is extremely hard to swallow and is deeply feared.

Tom is so diverse. He released his latest song "Ghost" just before Xmas and it went #1 on the billboard charts beating Taylor Swift and Sam Smith. His girlfriend Nova and his parents are in the video. She directs, films, and edits all his videos. She's also an artist, used to be signed to Def Jam. Tom is totally independent. Tom and Nova used to have a band together called GFBF before his rap career took off

It’s a little more cerebral. Kinda like George Carlin was with comedy. He will say something clever that circles back around and makes you think to yourself, “Wait what? Did he just say that?”

Tom Macdonald is 100% independent, he writes all of his lyrics, produces his beats, his girlfriend Nova films and edits the videos, 95% of his music is on CD because he gets more of the money and he misses when you would hold a cd while listening. He blew up when he released DEAR RAPPERS! If you continue the rabbit hole you will have a great time! His fan base is very welcoming and he is awesome! #HOG!

Wether it be double standards grounded in society and politics, voicing the shortcomings within our medical/insurance system, or being openly honest when sharing his own personal struggles with alcohol/drugs and mental illness. Haha New Sub here! I absolutely loved your reaction! I also laughed hard at the end when Tom said that! It's funny that you thought Tom was a soulful singer he definitely raps from his soul! Completely fearless truth bringer! He did make a love song for his girlfriend Nova (where he sings it's called Ghost) he released it right before Christmas it hit number one on the billboard in pop beating all the mainstream artists. Tom is just awesome and so fun to root for because he's completely independent! He owns all the masters, makes the beats, builds the sets in his house/backyard and his girlfriend shoots all of his videos!

I would DEFINITELY go down this rabbit hole if I were you. Tom fans are extremely loyal because he doesn't sell out to the music industry that grinds artists up in the mill. The HOG family will usually support reactors that at least LISTEN to his music even if they don't like him.

This song was my first introduction to Tom is very versatile and he likes to create a genre of his own. His political songs only make a small portion his catalog. Tom is seen in a bad light most times. Its unpopular. Its not what appeals to the normal talking points. But the fact that what he says in his songs and raps actually appeals to a vast audience scares them. I'm so happy you've decided to react. So first off, you are absolutely beautiful! But anyway, I absolutely LOVED this reaction!! I'm excited to watch your "T-mac" journey!! If you decide to delve further!! There are several "Tom's" as you'll see. He doesn't only do "political/controversial" that's just what he's mainly known for are these types of songs!! Thank you for giving our guy a chance! He's 100% independent! His girlfriend Nova (the name at the end 😉) directs, shoots, and edits all his videos!. Her last name is a stage name not her real last name. Anyway, Tom literally has him, his girlfriend, his sister, her husband, and a few other close friends like 3 others that is his whole team that does literally EVERYTHING!!! Oh and Tom writes his songs (some help from Nova with the hooks), and Tom makes his own beats!!! He was a pro wrestler his teenage years in Canada (he's originally from Canada). He stopped because of the politics of it all, and he fell into addictions. He moved to LA (cali) to chase his biggest dream to rap. He did so but was rapping about what everyone does, sex, drugs, violence, etc etc and it made him fall further into his addictions. He had a mental break and moved back to Canada with his mom to get clean and his head right. He was there 9 months (give or take) and then his now girlfriend (they were friends at the time) asked him to move to South Central, LA with her after she willingly got dropped from Def Jam because they treated her like sh*t. Anyway, they went through a lot there. They tried making music together (that's how they fell in love), and they were broke, down to their last dollar, electricity was off and no food in their refrigerator. Tom had it and went to the porch and smoked his last half a cigarette (he's since quit), and in about 15 mins wrote his break out song "dear rappers" .... and the rest is history! Great reaction!! #HOG (BTW HOG means hang over gang, it's what him and his girlfriend Nova call us their fans!) If you put #HOG in with your other hastags other hogfam can find your page when you do his songs

I've been following Tom for several years now. That man is an absolute breath of fresh air in a culture that so aggressively tries to shut down "wrongthink". Were he not independent, they'd have shut him down years ago. They tried, and failed. He is a vessel for a message that the world NEEDS to hear. I always love seeing someone find his music for the first time, it's a hell of a rabbit hole. If I could designate one person in the world as "the voice of the people" (not the politicians and their sycophants, but the *people*), it would be Tom.

You have a lot of great music from Tom to hear...He isn't stuck in one lane; he does a lot of different styles of music. Gotta check out his GF Nova, she makes great music also and does all of Tom's and her videos. They are 100% independent artists they are their own label make all the music, the videos, do the marketing and distribution on their own, there are videos of them taking mountains of signed CDs to the post office to mail, Mail carts full of them. I have been following them for about 3 years.... You won't find anything that will make you think what is wrong with them, empathy and coming together are basic ingredients in their music. Get ready for your UKposts numbers to start going up. You will NOT get hate from Tom fans, known as the HOGs (Hang Over Gang). You are a member when you realize you are.

HOn, I can barely hear what you're saying 😟but the video sound is loud and clear. Love Tom McDonald! He is so talented musically and he actually has something intelligent to say. A real nice down to earth guy who made it big time without the music industry. The reason a lot of people find problematic is because he is smart and courageous. Loved your reaction.

Hey Britt! Just stumbled across you this morning. First I must say, you’re a beautiful lady. Second, you have a wonderful personality from what I’ve seen in this video. I absolutely loved the fact that you’re analysis captured a key point Tom was pointing out, both sides are wrong. Yes the polar extremes are indeed wrong. We as human’s need to be in the middle. We should all strive to lift each other up, focus on the positives, not the flaws we each have. The system is setup to divide us if you step back and look at it from others lenses. This division is what needs to end. Once we unite, there will be no place their tactics can stand. It will crumble, all the division, color, rich/poor, man/women, religion etc. it’s happening more and more each day. I’ve watched Tom Macdonald reactors from every background, ethnicity, favorite music genre, metal, rap, hip hop, jazz, orchestra, country, pop, heavy metal, alternative from hundreds of countries where they have their own traditions and customs. The common reaction of those opened minded is that the message(s) Tom speaks hits every one of us. He spit’s truth. Even people that dislike rap like Tom. That say’s volumes.
