Every single Boss Fight in the Battle Mode ends with a Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken rush of punches, if you build up enough of the Super meter. So.. in a sense, yes. You do get to do it. 🎉

In Japanese, it was called Fit Boxing: Hokuto no Ken: Omae wa Mou Yasedeiru!, which means Fitness Boxing: Fist of the North Star: You Are Already Thin!

This is so cool. Believe it or not, there is an actual arcade game of Fist of the North Star where you actually punch six targets, and you fight iconic heroes and villains of the North Star franchise. And this must be one heck of a remake to that game

I used to play that at an arcade all the time. I love it! But I was probably one of the few or maybe the only one playing it as people kept giving me weird looks. LOL And yeah, it was eventually removed because like I said, I was probably the only one playing it.😢

@Oak There was one in Puente Hills Mall in an arcade called Tilt that had many old school games of the 80's 90's and bit of 2000s. The North Star game (called Fighting Mania) was in it before Tilt closed its doors, and the mall is given Round 1

Yeah the violence is toned down for t rating, demo music was pretty bad, and the trailer didn't show it had Mamiya in the demo to redeem as 0:57 is blink and you miss with no voice/training (which they generally talk too much). No physical neither, which if they included a small manga manual, it would be easy to buy. Good workout at least (I did 10 mins) but don't expect epic fights. $50 digital only, no way, $20-$30 why not.

I’ve purchased quite a few exercise games on the Switch and so far this is my second favorite. Letting you KO bad guys was a huge step in the right direction. While this is now my #2 exercise game, Ring Fit Adventure takes the cake. Purchasing this on day one!

Can't believe this year is the 40th Anniversary of Fist of the North Star. It's too bad the states and Europe are not getting a physical release. I'll still get it. You know would be awesome if 1up Arcade came out with Punch Mania: Fist of the North Star/Hokuto No Ken 2 arcade cabinets. I would make room and buy it immediately.

It's a skin of fitness boxing, no wild hyakuretsuken (1:03 seems to be activated only for certain battles and violence is toned down), and they let the Japanese have a demo a long time ago, which like Klonoa (which even had a sluggish switch version), I don't like regional bias. Mamiya can train in the demo, but there's no physical. I'd say wait for a sale, as at least the workout is good. Would have been nice to see Yulia as a trainer too.
