i believe its for authenticity and to tell the part between voice gameplay and voice narration. if it was just one mic through out the whole video then you wouldnt be able to tell the difference between the narration or gameplay

After watching enough forge lab videos and trying to pinpoint how someone can be so good at surviving a game he can't play well (seriously, he can't figure out how to do anything, melee, Redstone, or how to use a bow, or even make obsidian), it dawned on me that he just excels at escaping dangerous situations. He rarely ever fends off anything other than one or two at the same time. He runs away, he hides, he goes underground. That's his talent... retreat

I loved how we can hear fear, despair, sadness and happiness in his tone of voice. Furthermore, the video editing is very good and the game's shaders help to bring that more realistic look. I also liked it when he burned down the whole house and then he realized he didn't need to do that, but it kind of added some touch on it as if it was really happening, that you HAD to burn the house because of the parasyte. It actually made me sad when he said he had to burn the house. It was a good house. I just think it would be funnier if there was like some reaaal story behind it, to make the mod more immersive and all. But it was fun! It's hard to believe all of this is just a game.

The creepy thing about boarded up doors is not just that someone is trying to lock a door, but if a board is on the inside, it means someone was trying to keep someone or something out. With boards on the outside, Someone was trying to keep something in. Its the little details like that, way the door was boarded up that can make it more scary.

my only tip for surviving this mod now is: get a deep deep ocean and create just a small base like 10x10 with maximum 10 height, let it have so much space like at least 10 blocks till the ocean floor, and literally underwater with a practical entrance only for you. The best option is when there is no cave under the seabed cuz there is a parasite that literally DESTROYS ANY BLOCKS, he made a hole underwater on my house. It's easier to kill underwater cuz their infectation doesn't spread. The best tip for bloodmoons is staying crouch under a slab right on top of a lava trap, so they fall on it and just dies. Make a giant one, but when parasites evolution is at 3, it gets harder to lure them to the trap cuz they just surround you and starts destroying your trap. No bases on air, there are like 4 or 5 parasites that flies and destroys blocks, not forgeting about the parasited enderman, that tps any parasite to you so is kinda worthless but haven't tried. surrounding trap helps a bit (like using cactus or lava)

Don’t worry Sean how do you make obsidian? Is you take a Sauris block of lava and dump water on it? A source block is basically the bucket it came from like the same block you place the bucket on that’s what’s going to make the obsidian and if a non-source part of the water touches a non-source, part of the lava that makes cobblestone
