Really feels like some classic TF2 cinematics… such a shame they never went back to it in favour of Battle Royale. A lot of animated potential.

STW is actually a legitimately enjoyable mode. It is a perfect loop of progression, combat, with the added toppings of great music, stunning scenery, constant development (this has slowed down the last year RIP), and a decent, humorous story with a thoughtful development team. I know that it has slowed down of recent years, however if you look at the game and realize the depth and thought that has been put in to it I think you'll appreciate it.

This could easily be turned into a movie. That would be sick

I remember watching this trailer with my brothers when it was shown. And we were pretty interested. It had been a while since we'd played any local multiplayer games, and this seemed like it would be a lot of fun, like a cartoony CoD Zombies meets L4D. Then, everything changed when the Battle Royale and the fortnite dancers attacked.

You know, people say that fortnite copied pubg, but actually fortnite was originally made to be a game about fighting the storm and zombie husks and saving the world, battle royale came later as a 100 PvP Free Edition

The animation and the voice acting is fantastic. Even how they started building up the story at the start of this game is just genius. Brought so much life to the characters too. Fortnite needs to do more of these again

I remember when I bought Save the World on accident. Best accident I have ever made. Edit: To stop the questions of how did you buy it on accident let me clarify. I wanted see how much it cost because my friends were playing it. So my dumbass self clicked purchase to see how much It would cost because usually there's verification. My intent wasn't to buy it but see the cost of it. But instead of taking me to a verification screen it bought it straight away. So please for the love of god, STOP SPAMMING ME

What's crazy to me is the fact that they released this in July 2017, and then saw how popular Battle Royales were becoming at the time, and then pushed out a whole BR mode 2 months later, making it become one of the biggest games in the world

Funny how they forget about this mode, this is what their game was first developed as and they now treat stw with no updates and just copy and paste from battle royale.

Just got this recommended to me.... God, this feels ancient.

I bought the game in 2018 and got myself midway through plankerton. Picked it back up again at the start of 2020 and I’ve played nonstop on it ever since. I’ve played just about every venture season. I’m Power Level 138, max currently is 139. It’s addicting and there’s a variety of ways to level yourself up which is fun. The dialogue of the storyline is clever and funny. I have founder pack too so i still earn vbucks off it.

For a mode that has around 5% of the people who play fortnite, this mode is very underrated! I honestly find myself doing missions while im bored of playing battle royal.

It’s crazy how something so fun can be made so enraging by people who do the most for a simple kill
