True. It might something Punk wanted as well. He’s known Rey for over 20+ years and Rey was one of the first people Punk was seen with after his last time out in AEW. Plus it’s been 21-22 years since Punk had a triple threat match with both Rey and Eddie Guerrero. This might’ve been to shake the ring rust as well as a bit of nostalgia wrestling the son of Rey and who is also tribute to Eddie. Also it speaks volume about how trusted Dom is to have been born Randy’s and Punk’s return first opponent.

They’re also talking and calling the match as they go.

Yes and way more children than I ever see in an AEW audience. In this economy adults will watch it on TV unless it's a family event like PG/WWE. It's not that hard to figure out why they're struggling even though product is way better now than a couple years back with performers like Marco Stunt, Jungle Boy, Evil Uno and such that are now let go or pushed to ROH streaming.

He really is. He’s currently has the 2nd amount of matches in 2023 with 104. I think he has another house show match with Punk as well and maybe another before the week is over.
