I remember watching this back when I was still in highschool (even thought that was not long ago). Back then, I was an artist who already had a passion for drawing and creating characters and stories with those drawings. Everyday after school, I rushed to my computer to draw for the next 7-8 hours of the day. When this came out, for the first time ever, watching this made me want to create my own animations and stories like this for a living. It made me realise that my passion wasn't just a hobby, it was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Now come to 2019, I'm a college student that's just finishing up my first art class I've ever had in my life. Thanks to my awesome and passionate instructor "Ms. B," she's helping me take my first steps into my career as an animator, and I'm loving every second of it. Thanks to her and my many other supporters, I can say that maybe one day I'll be creating animations like these. And I also give thanks to Glen Keane for making this stunning piece of pure art. Thanks to Duet, I know that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life, to make animations like these to inspire others.

Still remember the first time I saw this on a 1st Gen Moto G LTE years back. I just finished a jog and was cooling down when I saw the notification for this spotlight story. I was listening using my earbud, moving the phone around like a lunatic to view the 360 video. Great art style and soundtrack. Even though no words were spoken, it still told a beautiful story. :)

I have watched countless of 2D animated movies and shows, and I'm not lying when I say that this is the most artistic, most beautiful, most lively, most organic animation I have ever seen. Glen Keane is a legend. There is just something purely special and soul touching about this and his art of 2D animation, created purely with line strokes.

I don't know why but certain parts of the music reminds of Lady in the Water. One of the reasons I love this is because it gives me a little bit of that childhood nostalgia with the magic and style of the music they use.

There’s so much more happening in the video that you miss because you’re watching from only one perspective. I remember watching this on my phone with the google cardboard and it was such an experience! You can see both the guy and the girls actions by turning around.

@@weaintdointhis I guess I should clarify, if you look at it using the 3d option on cardboard or just on the phone you can watch each one of them individually during the time you don’t see them here. They both have a full story actively happening during those moments you don’t see them on screen on this video.

The animator who did this spotlight is actually the one who animated most of the disney movies (the little siren, tarzan, beauty and the beast) i think that's why you see a lot of disney's magic

Still remover the first time I saw this ❤ I was waking up in the morning and received the notification. That was so beautiful! I had to move out from bed quickly because of the angles of the camera that we have to follow to see the movie ❤

This makes me want to get back into dance. I took ballet, tap, and jazz classes when I was young and then quit when I was around 11. I loved to dance and had danced for my entire life, being like only 2 when I started. Well I'm turning 19 now and I miss it all of a sudden, especially from the way it made me feel, the costumes, everything. 'Black Swan' by BTS talks about how a dancer dies twice, the first being when they stop dancing. That seems hella true for me right now. I'm still involved with music by playing flute and piano but I think I need to get back into dance.

Ojalá los perros vivieran tanto y también poder conocer al amor de tu vida desde la infancia pero no es así en la vida o en la minoría de los casos es así, pero esto es una animación y puede ser tan realista como surrealista y la verdad es que el corto es hermoso sólo que con esos detalles de tiempo y fantasía por decirlo así, la verdad mi opinión es que es hermoso, sólo no me gustó que el perro viviera tanto porque eso no pasa y conocer al amor de tu vida de bebé, mmm no sé el mundo no funciona así pero como digo es una animación y puede ser pura fantasía o no, mi humilde opinión 😊

Will this ever be available to view in a VR application ? It's not available on Google Play or the App Store , like the other Spotlight Stories. The short works great as a stand-alone theatrical version, but would love to see it in the original VR .

You can find it on the Google Spotlight Stories app on your phone/ipad. You'll have to download the app. The app is free btw. Plus, there are more VR stories on that app along with Duet.
