VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Lindsay and Eric designed a 33ft gooseneck tiny home measuring 11ft high and 8 1/2 ft wide. Unfortunately, their builder closed up shop halfway through the process, which left these determined superstars to finish it themselves!
Every piece of this design was thought out and placed with a purpose. For example, the angled doorway into the bathroom allows proper space for the toilet, vanity, and rain head shower/steam room combo. The hideaway ladder extends to the upstairs loft, and the multi-use table adjusts to a variety of sizes and can also completely disappear, making space for the dance floor! The kitchen, Eric's happy place, consists of a four-burner stove next to a large toaster oven/air fryer combo. There's a full-size fridge, an under-mount sink, and more than enough storage in drawers, baskets, and open shelving.
The six 230watt solar panels and lithium batteries support all of the appliances full force. They secured an informative touchscreen under the gooseneck to be well aware of the power in and energy out. Lindsay and Eric take pride in their tiny home and never hesitate to share the knowledge they've acquired through this journey!

I am digging the 2-step transforming dining room table - very unique! People in tiny homes sometimes sacrifice "dining room" table space to max out as much storage as possible because storage is basically a must-have in most tiny homes. The thing about this one is that this is probably the MOST expensive "DIY" tiny home outside of an RV touring coach I've ever come across on this channel so far in recent memory. Kudos to them though if this gives them more mobility and comfort wherever they go.

When people get old it might be hard to climb a ladder,at some point I bet most people will end up sleeping in their living room or building steps with storage ,and I've seen a cool sleeping area that actually lowers on a pull system that lowers over the living room and it's just a few steps up. But ya that's a cute place. Ooh and climbing across the bed to make it is a pain in the butt,I'd have a full size bed to have room on either side. I keep coming back to add more lol.I would have the living room ceiling lower for hight to have a loft that I could stand in

The air conditioner used to be mounted over the hole. You can see the screw holes in the wall. I think they just moved it and haven't got around to finishing off the hole and hiding the lines. The way to "go tiny" is to find a sustainable climate for "yourselves first; summers, winters, etc..." Secondly find 4-5 builders who can do what YOU need n proximity to your "place of living"....then...find a piece of property to "land" your Tiny with others who want; more-or-less to land the Tiny Houses permanently for rentals, day to day living in retirement, while still working, etc. Then...do another and move around while renting one....living in another. Another good option...is to find a "fixer-upper house"...do the work...then, get permitted to move your "Tiny House" onto your property....rent the house...live in the Tiny for free.

20 gallons of fresh water? wow- I think that is the smallest I have heard, I would try to upgrade that, unless you always have hook ups. Love that you have a real cooktop! I always wonder how folks cook on a single electric burner.

I wondered how they were going through 6 gallons a day.. then I saw the steam shower. (which isn't going to work on solar - I suspect they can BARELY run the mini-split on solar without depleting battery) Not quite enough solar, even without using the shower, for full energy independence. But too much to just keep the basics going. (and they aren't going to run the AC and washing machine on solar alone either) Then the 50 amp service starts to make sense. I would suspect they have a generator on the truck, too.

True 20 gallons was a joke and thinking back wish we had built in a 50-75 gallon system next to our greywater tank on the undercarriage of our home...we learned. Yes the 4 burner was heavily used because of my honey being a chef>:)

You don't even know...we had a drop down patio, roof-top deck and rock climbing wall on the design that the builder went bust on...it was ridiculous and we know better now >:)

The inside is beautiful however I'm not seeing on the outside. From the video to me it looks like it's half completed. For me I would have done metal siding around the whole build. However to each is own
@tinyhomelady
@tinyhomelady Рік тому
Oh my goodness, I'm jaw-dropped because I totally agree with you and in the early stages of the design process with our Tiny Home the builder they convinced us to change the design to metal and wood and then they went out of business on us. We had an 8 month surprise DIY on our hands and we did not choose the right wood siding and as such it aged so quickly it was ridiculous...This is why I consult other people on the journey to GO TiNY! Because our experience was such a doozy!

YES anything under 1000 square feet is a Tiny Home in the eyes of American Culture of 2500-3000 square feet being the average. And there are many zoning laws that don't let you go less than 500 square feet so at 300 square feet yep it's Tiny but compared to a van or a smaller TIny Home. it's bigger.. Did you know that the most common homes are about 250-400 sq feet.

Wait why’s the toaster over so close to the stove?? And the socket is literally 5 inches above the stove.. guys come on I know it’s a tinyhouse but it’s risky and very dangerous
@tinyhomelady
@tinyhomelady Рік тому
YEP talk to the builder that kindly went out of business on us during the build. They put the socket there that's why my husband put a flat head electrical cord. The toaster is metal so no problems with it there and the back burners did not affect the wiring.
