I bought the Ocean Turquoise. Its a fantastic guitar. The logo is a cool alternative. They still offer "vintage" style jets. This is a players edition, and it is a hell of a player. In my thumbnail is a 6120. I dig it.

I own many gretsches. Not this exact model though but I'm confident in simply saying to you, GOOD MAN! Bought a fantastic guitar : ) Penguin 07 anni model : ) Silver Falcon 2017 Silver Falcon : ) BLK Falcon 2019 Players edition : ) (This means you and me are in the playaz club haha) Tennessee Rose 98 And don't tell anyone but I also got a custom shop Corvette. 1 of 7 made. Limited run of custom shop gretches. VERY Rare. Like so rare to see them all at once is hard. I've seen the blue one, I've seen the wood one, and I've seen a sea foam green one. And then there is mine. The gold one. I think there is a orange one, red one, and black one. Anyhoo... It's super kool. If you buy from the greatch custom shop... You're buying something insane lol. But everything electromatic or higher is good stuff from gretsch... Heck... Even the acoustics they make now and the stream liner lines are well worth their price point. I'm just saying that I prefer the electromatics on up. Electromatic, tennessee rose, country club, viking, panther, penguin, falcon, and then finally greatch custom shop stuff. One time I saw a Green Penguin yo. Talk about amazing.

What’s it like loud , I bought Ia 6128 t jet , the puck ups are whistle and the guitar microphonic ..10 dollar pick ups on a £2,000 guitar ..

They are expensive. If you're going to spend that kind of money, you might as well just get a Duesenberg. The tremolo system on a Duesenberg stays in tune so much better than a Gretsch

@@sooparticular These are not custom Shops. Gretsch custom shop models are 10k and up. A Fender custom shop is usually around 3500$. So yes! Gretsch guitars are extremely expensive. Even the midrange electromatics are around 1k. Theyre fantastic instruments though so i cant say that they arent worth the money.

It's an authentic old Gretsch logo. Fits time wise with the block fret markers, which is why it's there on this model. I have this logo and blocks on one of my Ltd Edition Jets and I love this look.

Did they mention it probably not even playable until you spend a fortune to get the Bigsby Tremolo system to work .The only thing I found to correct most of the issues is to install a Nut Buster at the nut.

What a load of old cobblers. I own lots of Gretschs, they are by far the best set up guitars "off the shelf". I never had any Bigsby issues in about 45 years, and I never had to change a nut you just need to know how to use and play them. A bit of nut sauce at string contact points is all I ever use. And a Bigsby is not a Floyd Rose and isn't supposed to do the same thing at all. It's for subtle shimmers and wobbles, not big bends. If it's going out of tune you are not being light enough with your touch. As a guitar teacher I get a lot of students complaining about their guitar when in fact it's their technique that's at fault. Once they learn how to play the guitar they actually own (rather than the one they THINK they own) all the issues magically disappear!

It's the usual/classic Jet headstock, what are you on about? I've got a few jets and this is the usual design ! The others are the odd ones out.

So, why does it take 5 business days to answer emails? Also, what about that false advertising on the g2220? Claiming single coils are humbuckers, lol! Kinda sad, really. What other specs are you lying about???

There’s no way to judge the sound of the pickups. Everything is distortion pedal. Broadtrons aren’t real Gretschy sounding anyway. Only a noob would buy or like this. I’m sticking with my Brooklyn made originals.

What I've noticed is that if pickups are not good enough they always put them through overdrive pedals to hide the imperfections.

@@savanaviolenta Noticed this past year Gretsch (Fender really) has done a number of cutbacks on the Gretsch line up instead of going the price increase route like all the other guitar brands have (thanks to Covid). The majority, if not all the Electromatic lineup is now being made in China instead of Korea (ouch). Also seeing more of the Japanese Gretsch models using Fender's own designed Pickups and not using the TV Jones nearly as much and the backs of the 6128-9's seeing more painted versions instead of stain, usually means crappier wood.
