He has the TV production chops, the hosting chops, and the contestant chops (he competed on Jeopardy). I vote for Mr. Faber! I love his rhythm and sense of preparation needed for a long-term host.

David Faber did a MARVELOUS job ALL this week guest hosting Jeopardy! and I wanted to say that he was VERY nice and at of all the guest hosts until Joe Buck closes out Season 37, David Faber treated the contestants just like Alex Trebek did and I give him credit for that and I'm sure Alex would be happy to see have see Matt on an IMPRESSIVE streak and also Alex would be so proud to see a smart and intelligent man who had appeared on Celebrity Jeopardy! winning like you treat the contestant with LOTS of respect. GREAT job on guest hosting David and great job raising the money for your charity!

Love ❤️ David Faber, I watch CNBC every morning before work, to make sure I still have to go to work. He’s very smart and I am a big fan of that dry humour. He is hilarious 👍

@@toddmcdonald1028 Yeah, brief Google searches have told me he's from CNBC. I'm just not that too well-informed on people from news channels other than the big names (like Anderson, George, and Robin). He seems like a nice guy, though! And incredibly expertly in his field.

His practice and dedication to being a great host really shows. Very easy natural fit. He and Mayim are very personable as well as very knowledgeable during the game.

Faber would be terrific. He has a combination of AlexTrek and Casey Kasem type personality and presence about him which works really well for JEOPARDY..

David has done a great job- very relaxed and professional from Day 1! I did not knowxmuch about him, so he has been a pleasant surprise- far more accomp,ished than most of these media types before him.

I'll make a prediction...when people see David Faber guest host, he'll be the pick to be made new host. No one can replace Alex Trebek, but Faber strikes me as a wonderful choice!

Loved watching Joe Buck as the guest host. He made watching the show fun, and I looked forward to watching the show then. Unfortunately, he probably won't be selected because some people complain about his sports career. Next person I would want to see as the permanent host would be David Faber. He seems to be the most similar to Alex and would fit in nicely and not turn off one side or the other.

For a guest host that I wasn't too familiar with when his name was announced, David Faber actually did a really great job and felt like a natural fit for Jeopardy! based off of his intelligent look and his smooth pace of controlling the game. He may not be my overall favorite guest host but he gets recognition from me on how well he did last week

Another thing that helps is having a sharp champion like Matt. The game is more enjoyable with lots of correct answers, and not a choppy pace with wrong answers, or no answers. He has been professional, without calling attention to himself. Good job, David!

Burton will be a tough act to follow, but then again, Trebek set an impossibly good example for any gameshow host. Faber's got a great demeanor and voice for this, though, and I'm sure he'll do great.

Unfair for these guest hosts to be up against the Olympics...our station has preempted Jeopardy for the Olympics thus they don't get a fair shake.

Jeopardy is about the only daytime show airing at its normal time in my area, but it also airs at 4 pm here.

I liked Lavar, but I relaly like this guy. He's got a great voice for reading questions. My only criticism is that he take a bit longer than most to let the contestant know they got the answer right.

@Will N it makes the legacy matter, he should have set it up himself. His character is Jep to me, nothing can change that. I’ve not watched since his death, was a huge fan watching at least 1 or 2 times a week

Nothing against David Faber even though I don't know him that much but it won't beat LeVar Burton's appearance this past week.

Not certain I agree with you on that. I think LeVar Burton's pace was very slow and he stumbled too many times.
