I don't use ''forgiveness'' I let KARMA clean up the mess. it's fun to watch.

0:52 it’s a great gag, but it was actually on the A40 at Brien Blvd in Repentigny, Quebec. The destroyed bridge was finally replaced in 2020. You can just glimpse the overhead highway sign saying “40… Trois-(Rivières)… Qué(bec).” Yes I am a sign geek who also loves satirical news shows. 🤓

Paul Merton is the only person who can match Lee Mack in quickness, so good
@martinjones59652 роки тому
Just my opinion ... the times Lee Mack has appeared on this show he seems to struggle a bit to keep up the speed and standard of wit (especially from Merton) which is higher than Would I Lie To You (in my opinion).
@papasy37482 роки тому
@@martinjones5965 In some ways I agree vis a vis setting and context, but it’s all rather moot to me because they’re both great irrespective of each other’s shows
@claudvigilanteРік тому
Only thing Lee Mack's got going for him is the cocaine.
@simonvanderheijden4325 місяців тому
Mack might match Mr Merton in quickness but Mr Mack's humor is rather lowbrow in comparison to Mr Merton. Mr Mack is more like an irritating class clown how can't seem to shut up. To me Mr Mack's quick "wit" has more to do with him wanting to be heard instead of him trying to be funny. Mr Mack is like a chainsaw while Mr Merton is more like a scalpel.

I'm Austrian, I've never seen the Sound of Music and first heard about it only ~5 years ago. Almost all Austrian relatives and friends I asked since then have never heard of it.
@dragoncurveenthusiast5 років тому
Actually, just last weekend the life ball in Vienna took the Sound of Music as it's theme. On this occasion, an Austrian newspaper published this article, who's title translates to: "Why almost nobody in Austria knows The Sound of Music" kurier.at/kultur/warum-the-sound-of-music-in-oesterreich-fast-niemand-kennt/400044644 I haven't read it, yet.
@dragoncurveenthusiast5 років тому
*its, not it's I've read the article now and found it quite interesting. I didn't know, for example, that the first broadcast on Austrian television only happened in December 2000! If you are flexible in terms of understanding weird/wrong/misleading grammar, give the google translated article a try. You won't understand everything, but probably enough to make it worth it. E.g. "In America, this scene knew each child for decades." -> "In America, this scene was known to each child for decades." translate.google.com/translate?sl=de&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=https%3A%2F%2Fkurier.at%2Fkultur%2Fwarum-the-sound-of-music-in-oesterreich-fast-niemand-kennt%2F400044644&edit-text=&act=url

I"d like to read your review when you do finally see it. the music and dancing are charming, the story is very heavy handed. but as usual of American films of the time, Everybody Lived Happily Ever After....
@chequereturned9 місяців тому
Came to this late but this is really interesting. It was literally the ‘highest grossing film ever’ for decades. The first to beat Gone with the Wind (not adjusting for inflation). Safe to say it’s exceptionally well known across the Western world down to individual songs… and the first thing that comes to mind about Austria after Mozart and a certain painter

In Hindi, a turkey is a turki. In Turkish, a turkey is a hindi. Both due to Europeans’ geographical confusions.

Alexander is amusingly hyper in this.

Esha Ibraheem i love him more and more whenever he is hyper, to be honest.
@eshaibraheem42183 роки тому
Either way, he's adorable.
@whiteshadowmausu30443 роки тому
Esha Ibraheem yes, he is. His comedy career has brought a certain charm to HIGNFY. Makes the topic of politics feel less boring and more hilarious for me.
@eshaibraheem42183 роки тому
Having lived abroad for years, I knew nothing of him until I saw these old videos. Then, of course, I was charmed, and remain so.
@whiteshadowmausu30443 роки тому
Esha Ibraheem my introduction of him was through the return of an old animated friend from my childhood. That happened around August 2016 days after my 28th birthday.

The English language doesn’t have Turkish origins. I assume this is about the Anatolian hypothesis for the Proto-Indo-European Urheimat, which is fringe for a reason.

I remember Boris Johnson saying that he wouldn’t visit New York just to avoid seeing Trump. (Because how often does he say something that is both comprehensible and relatable...) I know in politics you are allowed some leeway from integrity, but isn’t sad that shamelessness is an entirely alien concept to them.

Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?"
