Things I cut out of the video that are still interesting:
1. Colby's first loss at UFC 194 headlined by Conor McGregor VS Jose Aldo. Many people argue that McGregor paved the way for Colby to become who he is, acting as a 'mentor' of some sort. I decided not to include that because it's a speculative argument and of course, has been denied by Covington.
2. Masvidal's first fight when he came back was against Darren Till. He knocked him out. He then fought Ben Askren and won the BMF belt against Nate Diaz. I cut out Till and Diaz to keep the pace high and because they weren't as impactful as the win over Askren overall.
3. I almost called this video Covington VS Masvidal: From Bros to Foes. Kinda had a ring to it.

I've ran in to Colby a couple of times after the heel turn, just because I am in the same community. Colby as always been real cool, super nice and willing to help out. what colby really shows us is the UFC is no different then the WWE. since his "enlightening" hes 4-2 and 3 of his wins are decisions and the only stoppage was cuz sleepy woodly was to tired to be bothered to fight that day. hes just as boring of a fighter as ever and really sad people buy into someone making an ass of themselves to stay relivent.

These fighters want to retire young and live a comfortable lifestyle. If they have kids, they want to be able to provide a lifetime of security for them as well. It’s not about filling seats for a particular fight. It’s about retaining current fans and gaining new ones for the UFC brand. That’s where the money is. Sponsors will fall into place. Imagine being in Colby's shoes before all the controversy. Following your dreams, putting everything you are into becoming the best you can be, working your way up and winning fights while staying humble. A man of principle that gives credit to those that support him. A man of honor. How is he rewarded? By being told he was being tossed out like yesterday's trash. It's no wonder that he decided to flip the script and make a 180-degree turn-around. He has made brilliant use of the science of triggering people and it is one of the saddest examples of the human condition that I have seen in modern sports. But think about it and take the science to a broader perspective. If this strategy works in this example, where else is it being used to exploit social perception? EVERYWHERE! Social media, main-stream media...politics! Everywhere you look you can see examples of The Complex Science of Triggering People being used to manipulate, separate and compartmentalize humanity into pre-arranged groups that are ripe and ready for exploitation. This science has shined a spotlight on the human psyche and exposed us all to being little better than Pavlov's dogs. I hope that Colby's adopted persona is all an act and that he and Masvidal are still good friends. Imagine if they planned the whole rivalry. Now that would be brilliant. Just saying.

Yes, it's an act. And he is poised to the point he knows you cant break character until you win the title or retire. Well played, any good actor knows when they themselves feel what they are saying so does the listener. He has tapped into that truth of emotion to trigger the response. And we all feel something when he speaks. And... we will finally understand the methodology when he retires the character. Untill then we a are in his play; let's enjoy the genius of his talent and judge it in retrospect in a few years, I guarantee it will make more sense then. He is simply smart enough to give the mob what they want. In business terms he is filling a need. That is when you sell the most product. He will introduce the person of Colby Covington when it's safe too. And... in my opinion, he cares for Jorge and is keeping his word about helping him reach the top. Which he did. Jorge made pay-per-view points an Colby did not for their fight. If that was not intentional then Colby would have stopped that....why the beef you ask? Because Colby knows Jorge and how to get him to genuinely feel he was serious; and his predictable response, Jorge lives and dies by a street code like the Diaz brothers. If you want to fight them AND make money do it the way Colby is using this Method. In time Jorge will thank Colby for keeping his word. And Jorge will understand then why Colby could not inform him of what he was doing. They are not enemies Jorge just thinks they are, just how Colby planned.

@@petershortland478 People are not saying he should have never done the character but he should have played it differently with Masvidal. He could have been respectful and still kept up all the other antics he does. That would have made the character more believable too. Especially if he went right back to being an asshole to the next guy he fought. Instead of fans clearly seeing through the bullshit of him verbally attacking a friend that's been helping him for years, just for the bad guy character he plays, he could have said that he respects Masvidal but he's the better fighter and he'll beat him in the ring. Him acting the exact same way over and over no matter if there's real beef with his opponent or if it's an actual friend, makes the character extremely 2 dimensional and anyone other than kids got bored with it very quickly.

Thanks for putting all this into one video. So that people know who Covington really is. Brilliant work. I got introduced to Colby as a bad guy. But his fights blew my mind away. Doing some research I came to know who he actually is. And that made me a fan of him. He's a good guy acting like a bad guy. A rebel who was born ..when the company failed to acknowledge his honest work. Even DC is so biased during commentary against him. I will always be a fan of his work.

No he didn't he loves and takes care of his family very much. He had a goal and while I really hate that him and masvidal went out like that which was Colby's fault I can tell Colby is a good dude that did what it took to gain success. What I can see happening with him is he gains the world and realizes it's not worth losing his soul and he repents for things he did because for some reason I feel like Jesus has much bigger plans for him. I also wouldn't be shocked if the relationship with he and masvidal was rekindled through Christ all things are possible and I know Masvidal understand that truth.

now that this fight is confirmed ive never been more sure of the fact that this fight will be like no other fight we have seen before. The person I feel for the most is Masvidal, he lost so much, lost trust in his judgment, friend, brother, confidence in his ability to see who his true friends are, trust in people, trust in the people he is close with all because Colby wanted to be a star a villain. Colby lost too but Jorge lost the most. I feel sad for Jorge, especially when he first heard his friend talking about him. That was the saddest I seen Jorge when he first heard that audio he pretends to be shocked and cringed but he was so hurt. Fuck man.

I just commented the irony that the vid starts with Candace Owens interviewing Covington. She was a racial far Left activist who began "modeling" for an Israeli porn site that "discovered" half of the Fox News female talent then suddenly became a diehard ZioConservative grifting millions from Boomers. Colby is her literal doppleganger going from humble wrestler who let his ability speak for itself into a WWE like cartoon villain

Colby has some past hurts he hasn't dealt with that make him burn bridges with everyone and I believe he feels like the fans also turned him into what he is now because he didn't get much credit before but now... Right next to entertainment, people do love controversy, don't we. What a sad world.
