C Van Tune is one of the coolest names I've heard on this series so far, and there's been MANY cool names.

It amazes me that even despite the ridiculous prices Hennessey charged for their modifications that they still had problems with providing customers what they paid for. I remember reading about these things as they were happening. More than a few customers had laid down BIG cash only to have their cars sit for months and get parted out. Brand new Vipers that got gutted and sat gathering dust after they'd paid 6 figures in upgrades. It seriously makes me question whether Hennessey didn't have some sort of crazy drug problem or something. Regardless of what he claims, he really did screw quite a few customers and there's no way in hell I'd ever give that dude any money. Especially because he's way overcharging for what he does. Any competent tuner with access to parts can do what he does for a lot less. It blows my mind that people keep giving him money, yet Saleen went out of business after making a MUCH cooler car. Yeah, I know Saleen is still around but it's effectively been stolen by the Chinese government. I think both Steve Saleen and John Hennessey were smart car guys but terrible business owners. However, at least Saleen had the integrity to conduct business in an honest manner, unlike Hennessey. This guy still gets lauded by car guys to this day, and it's bullshit. He deserves all the ridicule that he gets. With a planned total of 24 F5s that have probably already been paid for, color me not surprised when it turns out that he ends up not delivering, yet again.

You could make a video of all of the people he screwed over and all of the drama and it would have been 10 times longer. A lot of these young cats weren't old enough to remember but I'm glad some haven't forgotten.

There's a reason the phrase "Hennescrewed" is a thing...

When I was young and bought my first project car in a 2003 S2000, I used to run with guys who had gnarly 60-130 bad ass cars. We used to go to Hennessy’s track and pay for track days on Saturday’s and just run any number of hot laps, proving runs, and eval cuts all on the historic track outside of the legends shop. It was pretty awesome. And definitely makes me appreciate my history in cars
