If you are going to sleep in the open woods in a Hammock, it would be best to make a wooden ladder at your sleeping area and Tie Hammock at least 10-12 foot in the air, use ladder to get into hammock and then pull ladder up and tie it off--animals will then walk under you --this would only work for non-sleep walkers..

Anyone that has been to Yellowstone National Park knows this is the perfect location for bigfoots to live in. I myself am middle age , retired from I.T. from one of the largest cities in the America and lived in the USA most of my life as well. I was fortunate to visit Yellowstone at the end of 2018 ironically with a lifetime friend from Australia. The place is amazing! Lol it taken us 49 hours to get there from Florida driving straight through ( lucky he was a open road truck driver over in Australia by trade) . I have so much in common with this guy from this story it's unreal. Once we got there around 3 a.m. , we slept in our rented pick up truck . I heard knocking and felt being stared at during the night. Bigfoot there is for sure real without question. Regarding Grizzlies, It was nice to see those on the main road going in and out of the park.

Mercy Me most states have their weird zones. Here's some interesting little tales from the yellowstone area www.ranker.com/list/creepy-stories-from-yellowstone-national-park/amber-fua It's probably not what the others are alluding too but they're good little tidbits to pass along during ghost story time at the campfire.

This is one of the strangest stories I have hear. When you listen to Missing 411 and how strange those disappearances are it makes one wonder if Bigfoot and the very strange weather this man experienced, a very dark midday fog that was very localized isn't all connected. What is going on? it just makes one not want to go anywhere where there aren't lots of people. This man was targeted and yes I think these Bigfoot may have been more than your "run of the mill" regular bigfoot. He called it elemental. Odd that the ranger that meat him wanted to know if he had seen anything strange and that two other people had gone missing as well.

I loved your story.. it brought the hair up on the back of my neck as I too saw a Bigfoot in Vermont many years ago with my husand.. I've never seen a bison up close but the creature was 9ft or taller had dark rough hair a flattened face and was apparently 900lbs+ my husband thought.. it had no neck so to say and it's shoulders were wide and muscular.. it stood looking at us through our windshield it looked like it was standing on tree trunks..at the time in the 70's we had no idea what this was and never spoke of it to any one till a year later.. then we found out that his cousin whom my husband hunted with in November related a story.. he owned a farm of 900+ acres up next to the Canadian border.. he and his son had seen these creatures before in his apple orchard up next to the tree line on his property.. we felt better knowing that we weren't crazy and that they did in fact exist..

I would never go into the wild without a 357 magnum with hollow point bullets and extra bullets on me. I would carry a 44 for back up. It's insane to go into national park or state park and game reserve without carrying guns. Leave the pea -shooter's at home. There are a lot of predatory, wild creatures in these parks. Goes into bear country, sleeps in an open hammock, doesn't even know how to set up a tarp over it (which you should do every night regardless of what you think the weather is going to be), has bear spray but keeps it packed up where he can't get to it, and apparently doesn't even know how to start a fire to dry his shit out when it does get wet?!? That's step one right there is know how to start a fire-if you can't do that you should probably keep your ass indoors until you get that part down. Dude is truly lucky he made it out alive, sasquatch encounter or not.

Mercy Me ..... I wished I lived close to Yellowstone National Park like you do. I went there for the first time around October 2018 ( first time in my life and I am newly retired at 48 years old now). I loved it! It was the first time I seen Grizzlies in the wild and it was in the main road into the park. I was so excited! I love Country life in general and I loved the little towns around the area. Unfortunately when I went this past October, my childhood friend who is Australian was over in the States for the first time. I met him as kids in England as I am British American and lived in both Countries all my life. I did not like the trip there and back as he is a cross country driver back in Australia so he was accostumed to driving across country non stop unless it's for fuel only. Me, I am not like that. I would of taken my time over a 7 to 10 day trip there and 7 to 10 day trip back from car. But with him, it took us 48 to 49 hours straight to get there from Tampa Bay Florida and 48 to 49 hours to get back. I want to thank you and all the locals for welcoming travelers like me with outstanding hospitality however. I wish I could return but I don't see it happening . I have time to go but nobody to go with me and I would not alone.

I live in Ireland now (from USA) where there are no predators because the once dense forests are all gone. There are a few small woodlands and forest planted for production. I miss the woods. We have a small glen near by. My favorite place to go. I've never seen a leprechaun or fairies. Glad this guy survived. Very scary. I know about fear in the wilderness and wonder why people are so drawn to being deep in the forest. He's lucky. He does talk a lot and go off subject. What a story.

Maybe if everyone took notice of the very first stranger than Nature occurrence, and made their way, calmly but briskly from the vacinity, the campers/hikers would have survived all of the warnings. Luckily, only bruises, a cracked knee cap, and the ever present memories were all that this lucky person escaped with. Bear Spray does work on the ethereal Big Foots. You’ll find that you’ll feel much better about yourself when you’re kind, instead of nasty and needing to have the last petty word. There is absolutely nothing attractive about being a little bully. And unless you quit attacking people for no reason, one of these days someone is going beat the living shit out of you, and people who know you will say “It’s about fucking time”.

Common method of killing humans is by ripping the head off by gripping the neck and lifting up then to its rear, so would appear it had no wish to kill him! Listening to your xmas period shows it is clear you made decisions to slow down your reading! And wow what a great difference, I'm not being an ungrateful ass by the way just pointing out to you how much better it sounds slower as you now are! Thankyou

The whispers are the Sasquatch communicating with each other. Many people whom have seen these beings have claimed to hear the same whispers and children laughing (Sasquatch children playing). Some of these beings are very friendly and have even saved people's lives. That said, people have been found dismembered , hunters have been horrified to find human legs, one time with a women's pink running shoe on the foot. after preparing to run away from seeing this awful sight, the gugwe came back and physically attacked them. The only reason they escaped with their lives is due to one of the hunters throwing a hiking pole in the creatures eye, allowing them to escape. they were extremely lucky that this was a rogue Sasquatch otherwise they would have not made it out if there was more than one. lastly, I read a story of three hunters wear two of them shot at a group of these creatures and two of them the ones that shot at the creatures, horrifically had their heads twisted off in front of the only surviving hunter. I'm not sure if this particular Sasquatch was trying to kill this hunter, mostly just curious because he would not be alive if the creature really wanted to harm him. The government very well knows that these creatures exist and all over the national forests and state parks. They lie about their existence because they can't control them.

I’m a firm believer that you should never swim or hike alone! And, this hiker did everything wrong. Sleeping/eating in the same area is a huge no, no. You don’t have to be off the beaten path for Any kind of animal can attack you. I’m not sure this dude was very smart. I guess ignorance is really bliss, until you find out the hard way. Furthermore, the weather is so unpredictable. I’ve seen it hot and sunny at 1pm and then 2 inches of ice covering the ground at 1:30 pm. Poor guy!

Well... IDK... The dude imagined it happened or didn't he? I mean for those of us that listen to the stories of Sasquatch we know very well it could have just been their kids that one night messing with him and laughing. They seem to be the usually suspects when laughter like that is heard. But to not hear a warning of any sort, no growls or tree breaks or rock throwing or anything. normally when these things want you gone you'll know it.... usually..but if there is a rogue killer those types rarely have families so IDK it's hard to say or tell from this story if it was an encounter or a dream. I mean if the person didn't even know or wasn't sure then I sure as hell don't know. It was a good story and you read it well but exciting or factual, I don't know, . I guess we'll never know there's a lot of real good ones out there I like to hear you read some of those ones.

Sandy Marshfoot - Traveling Hobbit do NOT keep bear spray IN ANYTHING. Keep it on your belt, or hang it from a belt loop, put it on a shoulder strap. If you do need it you want it to be somewhere you can access it immediately, not in something you have to open to get it out, not even in a purse, the time it takes to do that can literally mean the difference between life and death.
