Understand: this is a French TV produced documentary for showing in the EU. Some company or other I not who have licensed use of the documentary and had the script translated for English language audiences. That’s where the problem lies. A Very poor translation of the French script. That is the issue. There’s a version of this online somewhere, it’s exactly the same except that it’s the German version. This one here is so bad & annoying I ended up watching the German one but with English Subtitles switched on & there was no howlers or mistakes in the English Subtitles at all. It was great! A bloody good documentary. And WW2 docs narrated by a German bloke sound awesome! Plus the English subtitles were easy to keep up with. The experience was loads better than trying to watch this one 🤮
