I've had this brilliant phone for a few days now. The screen, speakers, camera, battery, build quality, face unlock...and the great desktop mode, which works with my random HDMI to Type C cable. No need for the pricey Huawei dock. The 'knuckle' screen shot feature is weird, but it works well. In fact, I'm discovering new things about this phone all the time, which adds to its appeal. I love it!

Been using it for a week now. I did use a p8 max previously so the size and weight doesn't bug me. I agree that huawei should really step up their game and incorporate those full screen features. Currently using the gesture dot and it is just not as good. But I bought this over the MI Max 3 for the better overall performance, better front facing speakers basically since I do play games on mobile. If battery longevity and gestures are the most important to you, get the max 3 instead.

Perfect video. However, I am not a Huawei/Honor anyhow but I have used their phones for the past 6 years and I have to say that Kirin's performances ages better than the Snapdragon one. Huawei was advertising that their phones are smooth even after one year of usage (the campaign started with Mate 9) and from my personal experience I can say that this statement is absolutely correct. I have had a phone with Kirin 960 and one with Kirin 970 and even months after I started using them they were as smooth as day one. The price of the Honor Note 10 is twice higher compared to the Xiaomi but I doubt that Snapdragon 636 will be smooth after few months of usage as in the beggining. I would suggest you to keep the Honor. But this is my personal opinion. Ps: Before somebody says that I am a fanboy, my current phone is OnePlus 5 and it has nothing to do with Huawei. I regret selling my Honor View 10.

Have to agree tho. I still have my P9 with me which is on Kirin 955, though it may lag or stutter sometimes, considering that the phone is 2+ years, it still runs smoothly most of the time.

Are you going to review the new xiaomi mi notebook pro gtx edition with gtx 1050 max-q? It seems like a very nice upgrade from the previous generation in terms of raw gpu power, because even in max q design the gtx 1050 is miles ahead compared to mx150(1D12 version, which is tiny bit slower than normal 1D10). And if thermals are fine, you could probably overclock that gtx 1050 to core clock of a stock desktop gtx 1050 and thats going to be up to 90% faster than mx150. Thanks in advance!

To use the turbo feature, you have to add the game or app to game suite first. Then the turbo button when pressed will bring up a pop up menu where turbo is an option. Others have tested other phone with and without through the usual benchmarks and it seems to have a significant effect on performance.

It's so late I'm not sure if it will get any views. Maybe in a week or two if I've got time. But it is a great phone, one of the top SD845 mobiles. Just the camera isn't up to flagship level still. That's the only real con.

Just to confirm that the beautifying option once you reset or power off the phone will turn itself on again every time, even if you disabeld it. It's a bit of a pain to have to keep turning it off all the time.

go for the blue one dude.. its awesome! seriously. black one has nice elegant touch, but blue is best, people will spot ur phone even from a distance camera is great, but not the best. phone is built for gaming i presume. played pubg with dolby atmos stereo is overwhelming, i had to turn down the volume otherwise my friends wont be hearing their own phone LOL graphics is great, performing between snap 835 and 845 but the best thing is battery life, screen size and sound. for the gaming experience i think not one of the available phone right now can beat this

I had amazing battery life, after 2 days i poke around seting menu..battery life is solid, And there is option to save power by changing resolution from FHD+ to HD+.. What? We still can prolong battery use even longer than this? Thats just crazy guys..

Hello! I'm interested in this phone, as I will consider a suitable upgrade from my current Honor Note 8. I do have some questions though, as I didn't see it mentioned: - does this phone have permanent 4G on both sims? My Note 8 can only use 4G on one sim and 2G from the second one. - does this phone have clone app? Meaning, can you use 2 different WhatsApp accounts on the same device? Many Huawei phones have that. - does the camera takes raw pictures? In the pro mode, it should have that option. -how about the desktop mode? Anything else beside an USB to HDMI cable, needed? I'm in the US and this is the nicest phone I've ever had. Far nicer then the Samsungs I've had. The only downside I see so far is that it will not allow Google pay to work. I like to use my phone to pay at stores. If there is a way to over come that please tell me how.

Vasilis Fragos I have a mate 10 Pro, similar but smaller device. XDA Android forums offer a gesture app (XDA navigation gestures). It can be installed on all phones you can try it on you current phone and decide whether it is any good. I like it

Is it much better than the Mate10 Alp29? Are the Mi Max 3s transfer Soc speeds a lot slower? I transfer a lot of video to my phone. I use my phone as a PC a lot on HDMI sadly the the max 3 doesn't hqve this. I want a phone that I can run custom rom on minus G00gle. Are the screen edges flat will it be hard finding a screen protector?

Pretty Kitty I ordered it from eBay a retailer called wt852.. Great phone, awesome speakers, the version is not the global Rom but English is available with some Chinese bloat that you can't uninstall unfortunately. However I paid £460 for the 128g model so it's a bargain for the price, screen, camera & Dolby Atmos speakers are all very nice, good luck, Richard

We can always buy it online. I REALLLLLY wish this had a headphone jack. If it did I would buy it right now. Huge screen, small bezeles, AMOLED screen and INSANE screen on time. Tired of the 4 hours of screen with these high end processors. This phone can get about 9 hours screen on time with max brightness and a couple hours of gaming. I'm pretty sure you can get 14-16 hours from it with all the power saving features on.

The best "tablet" to play. The best relation measurements - big screen, to play hours and hours ... I had onda 10.1" and lenovo tab4 8" tablets, and they were much more biggers and heaviliers. If you want to play confortable, it is your "tablet". In adition, my first phone is a op 6t (a beast), but i prefer play in the HN10. Regards and good video.

Zhantao Fang I've got Mi Max 3 for my Gfriend & Honor Note 10 for myself, Honor is far superior especially in low light however video recording is better generally with Mi Max 3, good luck

Zhantao Fang I've got both phones, yes you could root Mi Max 3 when ROMs are available and use GCam but Honor sensor is far superior for lowlight. I don't think you can bridge the gap unfortunately. I've compared both side by side and the Note 10 is generally a better all rounder too BUT not for video recording as 4K doesn't have Image stabilisation on the Note but does on the Mi Max. Good luck

Might do but i've already done a real world use test and both phones a fix brightness of 200 lux. There are many variables but for real world use every time the Max 3 is winning. The Honor Note 10 tends to use much more battery when gaming

I'll go Poco F1, but it's definitely a great phone for the price. Nice to have all those phones as alternatives to overpriced flagships. The good thing is : nobody (yeah nobody) needs or valuate all the features we can fin on a top end flagship.........and most probably anyone can find a mid-range alternative giving themselves what they truely valuate only, without having to pay so much money for all the things you don't valuate. Exception is note 9 of course because S-pen has no alternative in mid-range.
