House count is irrelevant when Old Town has more population that the whole Vale or the Westerlands has more population than the entire North. Still means more people support Aegon. 1 house supports a big city, vs the few 20 houses that rule a little rural backward region.

And its normal to think like her since all Targaryen kings before Rhaenyra, including Viserys I, were crowned ahead of female older sisters. So Aegon would have been the normal logic succesor. Rhaenyra being the heir was just a whim of the king and a king wishes arent above law succesion, otherwise the King could name heir his cat it wouldnt make it heir.
