Not sure how much this helps the drivers, but not only do I always take those Mini-surveys and leave 10/10 positive reviews, but I also try my absolute best to bundle all of my orders together so that they all arrive on the same day/time. I have a lot of respect for the drivers, and after seeing how much stress they are under while on the job? I'll always try to return the love and so I hope these small gestures can go a long way! :)

Don’t think that every Amazon warehouse has these high tech robots, I’ve worked in 2 Amazon’s in 2 states with zero robots helping out

I dont live in a big city so I'm used to getting my packages in a few days to a week. However, the last order I placed was mailed in several different packages and took from 3 days to a week & a half. I've noticed for me, that the ones they ship through the Post Office are usually the ones that take the longest to arrive. I had 2 different packages from that last order go through the P.O. One pkg took a week & a half & went from a suburb of Mpls., up to my town, transferred to another carrier and then shipped back down to a different suburb of Mpls. Called to talk to someone (Took forever to finally get ahold of a live person!) and was finally told it was mistakenly marked as being in my town but it actually was not. (Never got an explanation where it really was.) Then, the second pkg was finally shipped and again came up to my town and again, transferred to another carrier and shipped off to a different area north of me. (Do you think it was a mistake again?) That pkg took about a week to get to me. I don't know if they're out to get me or if someone at the Post Office here is an idiot. Whatever, it's almost impossible to complain about them through Amazon. They are distancing themselves farther & farther away from their customers!

I just recently placed a order from Amazon at 10:00 am on a Thursday and received a photo text showing that the package was delivered 3-hours later at 1:00 pm . Amazing speed !

Shipping times may have shortened but for me at least, my merchandise options are being SEVERELY limited. Amazon is obviously limiting my options so they can achieve one-day delivery but I'd rather have more product choices.

I used to buy almost anything and everything off Amazon because of how incredibly convenient the two-day shipping was, and how amazing the one-day shipping was for anything over $35. It seems that they’ve gotten rid of it, and their fastest shipping has been 4-5 business days for the last year. Common businesses are now the ones doing one-day deliveries and curbside pick up, so I don’t know how much longer Amazon will last.

One-Day shipping only if you live close enough to ship in one day.

Prime has to start shipping with smaller boxes. I bought a battery the other day for my camera and it came in a box big enough to ship 100 batteries.

Wow, we are really spoiled. I ordered on line and they apologized for delivery running a few hours late. I didn't care. People pay a fortune, at times, for fast delivery, though the need is not there. I ordered from Wal-Mart once, and part of the order was hand delivered to my door 90 minutes later. That was freaky. Speed costs money, generally, and we waste a lot on air travel for things that aren't perishable or that urgent...

here in the Netherlands it is the (by most big companies) standard one day shipping without any additional cost (above a certain amount of price)

I worked at a Prime Shipping warehouse years ago, you know how we got you your items in 1 day? We would open a full truck of boxes and Instead of grabbing each box individually and putting it on the conveyor carefully we would topple the stack over so it crashed onto the conveyor and then we just grab the ones on the ground and toss them on too. The supervisors did not care and neither did we since the only punishment we would receive was for not being fast enough. yes there graphics cards and motherboards that would just be tossed across the room in order to get it to you on time. It was disgusting.

It's always nice when other companies beat amazons time. I have ordered many items from other tech sites on 3-5 day shipping only to be surprised when it came the next day. Microsoft is a good example of this. I don't now the reason but since amazon all deliveries on all sites seem to be quicker. well except from china via Bang Good as that takes 2 weeks - 4 months.

One of the thinks forget is the insurance over the product; I can tell you how much items are destroy for insurance and is not just amazon , microsoft too but that part is more difficult to find how insurance policy work on it

I work there currently as a clerk. 1) Safety, Safety, Safety First! 2) When you follow their safety rules they bring you in the office to find out why you're so damn slow and can't behave like a robot. 1) "Take your breaks, you gotta take your breaks." 2) Back in the office, "Why aren't you making the numbers? You do know we can let you go!" 1) Watch these lengthy safety videos. Safety signs all over the building. Safety Proud!!! :) 2) Back in the office, why aren't you a damn machine?? So you ignore their safety rules just to make the magic numbers they pulled out of their ass, and now they are happy, "You're doing better now." :) You meet your 1,000,000 hours of safety training, designed the place to be safer, posted plenty of safety posters, and drilled it deep that you must be safe. But you want us to keep the pace of a machine. Take your proper breaks, go to the restroom when you need to. Slow down when you're out of breath, do exactly according to safety rules, and the result is "Why aren't you making numbers? If you don't meet the numbers, you will be fired." The result: Ignoring safety rules, running instead of walking, out of breath and still working, stressed the hell out, but I'm behind and need to meet the standards. Day after day you meet their numbers and the expectation stays because "See, it can be done."

Why did this get recommended to me when my package took a week to come in.

i once ordered some fabric on amazon and since I'm a prime member I got the same day delivery option and I saw that the tracker said "your order has departed the facility in New York" and then 4 hours later i checked it again and it said "your order has arrived at a facility in Phoenix, AZ and is out for delivery"" and i got my order few minutes later.... like daaammm 😮😮

Well... I'm a Prime Member and I ordered a book on Friday night, it left a carrier facility in Phoenix, Az on Saturday morning, the tracking system hasn't been updated since and I'm still waiting for it now on a Wednesday afternoon, in Massachusetts

You do not become the richest man in the world by being a compassionate, caring, grateful, and sharing person......

It is like a military operation with time bound hard work with precision and accuracy. One cannot expect a worker to be lazy or weak. Only physically and mentally strong workers are preferred. Since military like risk is not involved, the worker need not be daring like a soldier, so payment can be less. So it's like a soldier minus risk.

I have an Amazon fulfillment center directly across the street from where I work. I still remember seeing the same day delivery option for the first time on an order I placed. I was like... NO WAY. So I placed the order at 9:10 AM and my package arrival alert happened 4 hours later. It shipped from across the street.

I sincerely applaud the Amazon workers. I didn't even last one day there (I ended up getting a job somewhere else). Bravo to all of you!

I’ve been driving for Amazon DSP for almost 2 months. My first week I worked 6 days and a National holiday. No overtime or holiday pay. Delivery drivers don’t get offered 401k/retirement and the medical benefits are the worst I’ve ever seen.

I work as a deliver driver for a amazon. The last couple of month the daily stopps went up by 50-60 stopps. That doesnt sound like much but tose 150-200+ stops a day are hell. You work about 10 hours a day. Recently, like a week ago, Amaazon send out a memo which said they will reduce the daily stops. They reduced the stops on one day. AFterwards it went back.

Same day shipping is also possible. As I continually try to campaign for: Amazon urgently require a facility on their website where customers can leave feedback regarding their delivery experience. Delivery staff not following brief, simple special delivery instructions usually regarding where to leave items in a safe nominated place (if there is no answer at the door when they call) I, have repeatedly reported this to Amazon over many years now but nothing changes or improves. Amazon have some decent delivery staff but the rogue ones let the company down, big time. Response to video only.

The single problem with all this stuff, is that its all based on consumer sales. America is no longer a manufacturing hub, its a consumer hub, but how long can people buy without good paying jobs? Eventually the fun will come to an end. Credit is great, but its also not real money. If people dont have jobs, and or jobs with good or better pay, then it wont be a soft landing, it will be a crash landing when the fuel runs out.

I am part that supply chain that delivers boxes to Amazon. The plant makes the boxes, our trucking company is contracted out with the boxes on the trailers to put it to a third party site to keep it at their docks. They unload the trailer and keep the boxes until Amazon makes an order in which the third party site loads the trailer with the specific boxes they want. We then take the trailer and drop it off at Amazon with the paperwork. It depends on what Amazon wants. They could want 3 trailers a day and in peak season meaning November and December they would want 6 to 8 a day. Whatever we drop that trailer all I know is their yard driver will take the trailer put it in a dock and then the fork lift driver will unload it. What happens after that I do not know nor do I care. I do my part and that it's it.

I pay for Prime specifically for the 2-day shipping. It's never happened. Just ordered a product for same day delivery, 4-11 PM, Friday. As soon as I paid the order, I checked "my orders" & it's immediately says Sunday. That's 2-day on a same day promise. BTW, live-in New Castle county, DE. Closest Amazon is 15 min away; they just opened 2 hugh facilities, each 15 min away in different directions. I bet it doesn't come Sunday. Also my grandson works for Amazon in S. CA, had a gift sent directly to him, had 3 shipping options, instead of 2-day, I chose the 17th so he wouldn't get it too early. Now I worry will he get it by Xmas?

No joke I once got a packaged delivered from amazon by I guy in u-Haul truck! 😂

Even in 2021 most of my orders still has been at least 3 - 5 days shipping. I think that one or two day shipping is very rare depending on where you are.
