Imagine how lucky we are to have in our body mechanisms that can translate electromagnetic waves with different frequencies and wave lengths into colors to see our ironically beautiful colorless universe, acoustic waves into vibrations in the eardrum that our brain translates into sounds something which doesn't even exist in the world but was defined by humans, a huge system that covers every millimeter in our body and responds to internal and external forces by sending electric signals to our brain, and of course amazingly complicated connections between neurons that create an enormous structure of information stored in an unbelievably small place. After all this, it feels wrong to call even the stupidest person in the world, stupid.

From looking through a 29 inch reflector telescope in 1984 and seeing the veil nebula for the first time, I’ve always wondered whether or not the universe is infinite. Infinity of space holds my interest more than anything else.
@stevenbrooks3573
@stevenbrooks3573 Рік тому
Is the universe all the matter that exists, or the space that the matter exists in? If it is the former, and the galaxies and nebulae are moving away from each other, maybe it is the outward motion or expansion of matter that is infinite. Space then is absolutely nothing and the 'universe' only exists as long as matter itself exists.

“The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.” "H.P. I've been around this subject of infinity and the multiverses (local or temporal). The concept that everything that may happen happens an infinite amount of times through infinity isn't new for me. That been said... One and an half year ago, my 8 months old daughter choke with a piece of toy. When she was turning blue and passing out I did what was like impossible, I grabbed it with the tip of my fingers through her tiny mouth and throat and pulled it out. I hurt her so much that my wife and I had to take her to the hospital right after. My baby took a week to fully recover. But something was off. When everything was in the balance, I felt like chance did it. It was highly improbable. It just happened independent of anything. I had many nightmares after that of me living my life after this event gone wrong. I even had a nightmare about a funeral, and that frightened me the most. It's like that in many other probable universes the outcome was definitively bad. How lucky am I to exist in one of many universes where I can see my daughter grow up? So in this infinite fractal of chaos, I'm the luckiest man there is. :) Be grateful for what you have, an infinite many others of you may didn't get that chance.

I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your explanations and your logical breakdowns. You really help break complex things down into their individual, understandable parts and then help put the larger topic into a digestible context. It's also incredible to me just how much philosophy and astronomy overlap! Though, I will say my brain started twitching when I tried to start imagining a 3-torus cylinder.....

I forget the exact quote or who said it, but it goes along the lines of: "True art forces the mind into unique and unexpected directions." By that definition, what you have created with this video is one of the purest pieces of art I've yet to experience. Simultaneously hopeful, wonderous, nihilistic, and distinctly unsettling, all at the same time.

Along with the premixing raising compression, the seals and surface contact points in a fresh engine will "bed in" and raise compression for a while after the engine is built. Eventually it will start coming down slowly. That's awesome that you still have such great compression!

Dude when i was tripping balls on mushrooms a few months ago, i closed my eyes and saw the connections through cosmos, and how everyone was linked through cosmic energy. I could see myself whooshing through the galaxies and stars, 500 times the speed of light, just shooting past everything like in hyperdrive. It was only short, while i closed my eyes, but it gave me such a immense appreciation for the scale of the universe, and how every human on earth, and all other life forms in the universe are linked, in some way. It was cool man. The universe is awesome.

I love how this channel always leaves me with more question than answers, the shape of the universe could be something we never understand and it's nice to have some mystery left, I've always thought of it as a spherical, if the universe was born from the big bang and we use points of references we can visualize from things here on earth like nuclear explosions then my small mind would expect that the same governing laws of physics to in turn relate itself to the shape of the universe going outward in all directions and then I watch something like this and I'm back to square one having no actual clue about whats going on and being snapped back to reality of bills work and life, I thank you for your channel and the respite I get from the daily grind, even if I may never understand it all, the daydreams I engage in afterwards are a little piece of happy you bring me with each video, keep up the great work!
