They're the same thing as far as I know!

Scots Gaelic is the language that came to Scotland from Gaelic expansion during the times of Dál Riata and is a sister language of Irish. Scots is a language that came from pre English Anglo Saxon language, English and Scots are sister languages.

That's the Irish way. 😅

It's not the wrong way to say it, it's just how you say it in english unless your from Scotland. When I'm speaking in Gàidhlig I say it as Gàidhlig when I'm speaking in english I say it as gaelic is said in my local accent. I'm in the states and people will just look at me with confusion if I say it that way. And because that is just how it's said here. I've had other learners correct me in english which I just find strange tbh. You don't need to correct my english lol I'm a native speaker!

Irish say "Gay-lick" Scottish say "Gal-lick"

@@ScottishFeature Àdhamh Ó Broin from Argyll and Nova Scotian Gaelic speakers pronounce it the same as the Irish. It's a dialect thing. In Munster down in the south of Ireland it's called Gaelainn lol, totally different to any other dialect.

I don't rate SpeakGaelic, personally.

@@ScottishFeature it came out when I was already B1-B2, and the programs/podcasts have been good enough for vocab and grammar reminders. It feels a bit less systematic than I would like, but I think it's good to have one fun resource and one big dull grammar book. What's your problem with it? I heard the website is buggy
