Except it wasn't the mentos doing any of the work; most of it will be compressed CO2 at the top of the tank, pushing everything out like a supersoaker. The early tests are all just CO2 and water, no mentos, and they work just like the final. Sure, there's _mentos in it_, but they're mostly dissolved by the time they even open the valve.

Think ebikes with mid motor vs hub motor if you ever tried both you will know what i mean by the delay mid motor have non hub motors do. But they both work much the same as an augmented strength system for manipulating heavy parts in factories. So i suspect that between him and the hacksmith they could probably pull off a real fully self contained mech suit. High powered rc motors and gear reduction + potentiometers and a power source from a lipo battery pack and it should be feasible to be able to at least let a person lift say 350 to 400 pounds with out effort
