I'm a Canadian man living in Montreal, very far from you, I love your videos. The biggest reason I started looking at your videos was because of Tan. My cat died around the time you adopted Tan. I had my cat Kymy for 19 years. He was my baby. He was an orange cat who had been declawed and fixed very young, when I found him in my flowers beds, he was around 4 months old, which was odd because usually male cats are not neutered before 6 months and not declaws on his 4 paws either before that, which is totally outlaws here to declaws your cat. But Kymy was and he was never allowed outside after that faithfull day I found him in my flowerbeds. His biggest fun was our daily ritual, 15 to 20 minutes brushing his long fur, Kymy telling me his day, then me making my coffee, and while it was brewing, he knew I would prepare his food and water. he would meow, rubbing against me telling me he was happy. One day while trying to come with me to my office downstairs, he fell down; it was horrible. He was paralyzed. I was crying, and he was trying to get back up, but his back was badly damaged. I took him to the Vet but they could not do anything due to his age. I have cried so much when losing him. I held him when they made him go peacefully, but it was very hard for both of us. I can not and do not want another cat since then, I have so many beautiful memories about Kymy. Kymy had very long fluffy fur. He was extremely looked after.

Milky's face when you took the bread away... it was utter shock and disbelief. The picture of innocence! 😂😂 So cute!

He could be stressed due to the change and the visitors coming. From his expression, he looked unhappy, thus excessive licking. My suggestion is: 1. Use Feliway spray around the house or infuser. Do not spray directly on to the cat as it has alcohol. You can spray on a towel, then let it evaporate a bit then wipe on his body. This was from my vet when my cat was stressed. 2. Increase playtime with him. 3. Minimize changes around him. He a sensitive cat. 😂

Regarding Tan's aggressive grooming: He could be feeling anxious which can cause odd behaviors. It looked to me like he was either itchy or maybe his legs felt odd (like when your foot goes to sleep if you sit on it too long). But there is a neurological condition where the cat feels like hes being attacked by his own tail. If the aggressive behavior gets worse, or Tan starts growling at his own tail, do take him to the vet.

Tan may be stressed with the new home and strangers, grooming might comfort him. 6:35

I think Tan is fine, some cats like to erase their scent or change it when they get to new places. To do that calls for very aggressive grooming, you can try giving him a bath to help it along faster. If he starts doing it a lot to where he has missing fur, I would hurry to the vet. Allergies are a big hurdle when around a bunch of new things. With him rolling about, I think he is trying to spread his smell around, and a good groom gets those glands quite active!

I think something was bothering Tan temporarily. Like an itch he just couldn’t reach in a sensitive spot. As long as he is using the litter box okay and doesn’t keep grooming himself like that, I wouldn’t worry. (I am a veterinarian, but without actually examining him, I don’t know for sure.)

Tan's behavior is normal after a move. He's showing a bit of anxious behavior and it will pass. He may have seemed fine at the beginning, but every cat is different and has a different coping mechanism. He'll adjust in time, but keep an eye that he doesn't start biting himself aggressively. Again, he'll be fine, just keep giving him all the love you've always given him. Love all three of the brothers, they're gorgeous.

Yes, Tan’s stress or nervous. That’s why he’s grooming excessively. It happened to one of my cats as well.. at some point she lost some of her fur due to excessive grooming.. please pay attention and distract Tan with his toys, smells.. or comfort food to calm him.

My sister’s cat aggressively groomed, which included biting/gnawing, until there were bald patches all over and red scabs. If it’s not skin irritation/allergies, it’s either pain or stress/boredom, and grooming helps alleviate the symptoms. Most likely for Tan, it was the big move and family gathering.

aaahh, they're so cute hahaha. what i'm thinking about Tan is, Tan seems to be in the process of adapting and adjusting to his new environment. As I've read, cats heavily rely on their sense of smell, and being territorial creatures, they can get stressed in unfamiliar settings. With numerous guests frequenting the house, each bringing distinct scents and possibly interacting with Tan, he might be experiencing a bit of stress. His grooming behavior could be a way for him to alleviate stress and "brush off" unfamiliar scents

Because leather can get cold temperature very easily, no surprise Milky chose that place if he gets too hot at night. The bread and cake could be due to the smell of butter and milk in, possibly the meat filling used in the crossiant that perk your Milky and GB interest. 😂 You may need to keep your bread or other food items out of your furkids sight😂😂 My cats like prawn very much, I have make sure they don't do same like GB and Milky did😂😂

Milky was crazy about the bread and I think that bread must be good 😀😀 When was told not to eat it, Milky’s face was full with question marks 😂😂 Tan was nervous and grooming to impress new faces at home I guess. He’s still a kid doesn’t know how to settle down with this many new faces and voices but I believe he’s going to be okay soon 💙💙

I'm so happy to see the babies and butlers doing well~ Where I live, Tan would be called a "spicy cat." He seems to be a cat who has more boundaries and is not as easy-going like his brothers, making it harder for strangers to approach him as he may swat them if he doesn't know them. He's cute and def means no harm; he's just more reserved and likes his space! He might just be grooming himself more ferociously because of the stress of moving. If you notice fur coming out or bald spots on him, I would def take him to the vet, but for now, he seems okay. Taking him to the vet if you're worried is fine too :)

Well the last time I see a cat excessive grooming themselves was because the change of food, don't know about stress, but its highly possible... I'm happy to see Tan interact with stranges, but I guess to many people scares him...

Tal vez no le gusta que otros lo toquen ( por si dejan su perfume, olor a crema de manos, etc) Para mí es normal que se laven mucho. I am not a professional at cat behaviors nor own any cats. But, different scents from the guests that stay on Tan furs, and especially from all of the siblings, it seems Tan is the most guarded up of strangers, adds up with the new environment this might be the cause of Tan aggressive grooming behavior as cat have more territorial behavior. Grooming is also one way for cat to stress relief. If you are worried, it might be best to bring Tan to the vet. Either way, stay healthy for all of the siblings❤

Take Tan to the vet!!! this happened to my cat and it was awful to watch. I hope it gets better or it turns out to be nothing at all and everything is ok. But I would recommend taking Tan to the vet and showing the vet the video also so they can see what is happening and help Tan.

Your new home is beautiful and I love how Milky has found the perfect place to lie down...he fits so well. As for Tan, if the aggressive grooming was just once, then it might have been, as you said, a bit of moving stress. If he continues, then he probably should see a vet. I am surprised Tan was trying to swat your guest. I would have expected him to just run and hide since he is a bit on the shy side.

One of my cat love sweet treats like bread or cake. It's hard to eat a snack with her around. There's one that love cheese, she follows me everywhere if I have string cheese snacks. 😅 But I have 6 cat with different preference of snacks. It's hard to prepare their snack every now and then.

Our cat hated it when the furniture was rearranged. He'd be very touchy and cry for us.They need everything to be the same, where it used to be. To move homes like you did was tough for baby. Lovely GB groming him to help calm him is beautiful. And all the people--people he does not know so often is tough for baby. His alarm system is all heightened with fear and confusion. As things calm down he may too--he needs this. Imagine if you went for a ride and all your furniture was not there, and pathways you knew were gone. Maybe some "kitty calm" would help. It's allergies Tan is suffering. Did you change something in the new house like disinfecting sprays or food? If not, general itchiness can be psychosomatic, usually occurring with severe emotional reactions or during times of change in the cat's living environment.

Our orange cat groomed aggressively like that too. The vet said to use a calming spray with pheromones. Or a calming collar with pheromones. We sprayed 3 spritzes on our cats collar every couple of days. It worked really well. Our cat was stressed because of a move too. Good luck 🤞 love you videos & little pet family!

tan does not look like he's suffering. he and gb look more comfy on that bed than i will ever accomplish in my life looks like the bros are getting naughtier as they get older... some cats like to steal bread! if tan's aggressive grooming persists that's when i'd take him to a vet. could be a skin issue look at his pouch! tan has grown into a very handsome orange. all the boys are very handsome sksks i wish bros and all your furbabies a year of good health as well!

Some cats are attracted to the aroma of yeasty bread, also sour dough bread. Especially if it's really fresh. Tan looks like he had one of those sudden itches that come from nowhere but drive you crazy. If he aggressively grooms himself again, try brushing him in the area he's attacking and brush hard. These animals have a really good way of communicating. That bread needs to be locked unless it’s high enough where the cats can jump. The house looks really nice, I like the kitchen. The living room color pallet seems to be picked from GB’s fur.☺️☺️ But then again they are masculine colors for the Bros

Milky is so confused after he caught the dropping bread🥐 from GB...(Young brother comparatively gentle tone even laughing to GB... seems gained APPROVAL)... I wish Milky wouldn't feel sad 💔lol... He is emotion sensitive and sure he can distinguish the blaming tone from you😢

I can't afford to move but I change my furniture around when the seasons change and so my two cats get confused but they get used to it, even like it more!! Yes, excessive grooming usually indicates stress in cats. Maybe Tan was stressed when your family came to visit. It’s best to keep a calm household for cats to prevent illness that can be caused by stress. I love watching your videos that show your babies being naughty. They are so blessed to have you!🤗
