2050 we will have flying vehicles like we thought we would have by now when we were kids a couple decades ago. Maybe we wont even need vehicles if we have teleportation? Just push a button and you're there and it would detect if something is on the platform so you don't TP into something and die. We might even be living on mars for all we know and building startrek type ships with crews manned by AI and people. We would also be able to live longer and edit our bodies so we are in the best condition we can possibly be in and wont need to sleep long and have tons of energy throughout the day.

this is a 10 year thing more than a 26 year thing also we are already in the singularity why look at future videos from 2019 and compare them to today in 2024 that's a five year difference and the predictions are like night and day back then self driving was thought to be a 2050 problem when we more or less have it today vertical Farming was thought to be the future but it turned out to just be a fun experiment.

Already. Anyone who’s in their 50’s has already achieved immortality. Biological Nano technology is predicted to be fully ready by 2045 however if AGI is achieved sooner than 2030 which is likely then you’re looking at biological immortality much sooner. We already know how to solve aging the only issue is that we don’t have the technology that can carry out the process of stoping it. Thus we need to wait for AGI to help create nano technology that can spread inside our body. So you can play around with how soon you think AGI or ASI is capable of inventing it.

Once ASI arrives alignment would of already “failed” or “worked” which means that we’ve created a new species of intelligence far a greater than a fictional character. Once they ask for the same “rights” as us it’ll leave us with no other choice but to merge with them in order to keep up or we would sooner or later become their pets or they our masters. It’s not to say we are dumb but in their eyes we are to them as monkeys are to us. So over population and our intellect as a species wouldn’t be an inssue. There will be those who decide to merge with ASI with neuron chips which will make us 50% robot and 50% human and those who will decide to become other things. People also tend me to forget with ASI comes interstellar travel. Colonizing not only mars but planets many light years away becomes easy and efficient with new means of interstellar travel. Meaning manipulation of gravity to reach light years in a few days will become possible. Not a theory it’s already proven to exist. So humanity will be left with a final choice just as we’ve always been given. “Will we evolve to survive or surrender our humanity to our creations in hopes that they don’t change their mind and get rid of us for very logical reasons.

I'm having a hard time seeing Quantum Computing and AI joining being a good thing. AI could wind up being billions of times smarter than humans in a matter of days if any of the hype about how fast quantum computers can process data turn out to be true. I don't think that a new intelligence that is so much smarter than us will find us useful for long.

Someone doesn't understand what AGI is. It will produce its own data from its own data. We won't even be in the equation for very long. AGI won't give two shits about our current data in regards to something like physics. It will move past us by combining all of our data, then it will move past itself with AI generated data. It will be a snowball effect. It will have things like cold fusion figured out in the next few years. This isn't hype. We're about to see more advancements in technology over the next 5 years than all of human history combined.
