Does Lance Stroll genuinely earn his place in Formula 1? I'm diving into the journey of Lance Stroll, a racer whose path to the pinnacle of car racing was significantly accelerated by his billionaire father's support.
From his early karting days to securing a spot on the F1 grid, I'll examine the investments and decisions that made his career possible. Amidst the debate over 'pay drivers,' I'm taking a closer look at what Stroll brings to the table. Through insights and analysis, I'm tackling the crucial question: Is Lance Stroll there on merit?
Join me as I explore the talent and controversy surrounding one of the sport's most discussed figures.

The point of F1 is the best drivers duking it out, some with better machinery of course, but skill is paramount to move to better machinery. Stroll doesn't fit either category, little skill and only moves up in equipment quality thanks to daddy buying him a team to mould around and he still manages to come off second best to a significantly older driver. Pretty much ever driver in F1 has rich families that financed their early racing. There.is no cheap racing anywhere anymore. Why don't all of you pop into a F1 car and see how fast you are. I don't think he is that bad. Most of the drivers on the grid rely on personal sponsorship to get a ride.

He might've bought his way into F1 but his efforts are evident in races. Understandably, he has the backing of his billionaire dad so his seat is under no threat. But unlike, Maze spin, this guy puts himself out there despite abuses hurled over him and has statistically shown good performance, if not the best. Yes, he has some behavioral problems like a rich spoiled guy, but we have to consider the highly stressful race situations a driver is in. It's not an easy task to maintain your composure during the race and money can never buy that. Money might've helped with his entry into f1, but the place where Lance stands today is more because of his performance and less coz of Lawrence's money.

It's funny seeing people in the comments talking about "deserving" drivers not being there, EVERY single driver that's in F1 it's there not because they are the best that exist, but because they have money, and were born in the right place by pure lock, not all are billionaires for sure, but being middle class in a first world country or at least developing country means you HAVE money, and every single talented driver that were poor are automatically out, there's no questions, having billions of dollars it's in itself part of the attributes that you are born with, reaction time, size, talent, physical potential, all are inherited, but people complain about the money, like everything else wasnt given by his parents as well, of course you can work hard to improve what you got, but that holds true to money as well, face it, money is one of the most important attributes for you to become an F1 driver, the kid could be vastly worst, and there's literally hundreds of drivers that scored less points that got in F1 the "proper" way. I won't say I feel sad for the guy, because fuck that, he is a billionaire F1 driver, but the level of hate he gets it's not that justified.

There's nothing inherently wrong with paid drivers, it's always been a part of the sport. Arguably if his dad didn't buy the team, the team wouldn't exist, and that kind of thing has happened many times in F1. Lance doesn't have the range of skills that the top drivers do but he's had his moments, he seems to drive well in the wet for example.

It is a given that Lance is just an okay driver and trying his darnest to be at a level of the current greats. The place he occupies in F1 is just fair since to enter F1 you have to have money or talent to be hired. Lance's family does not bankrupt a country or enslave a nation just so he can afford to race. So, it is just fair. He is burning his own money from their various business empires and Lance has skills except he is not a Lewis or Max (yet) or maybe never but whatever he has the money so he races. If I was him, for sure I would do the same and many would want to be in his shoes.

You missed a glaring and critical point. His dad paid for absurd amounts of private testing and coaching at every stage of his career and with the top teams in each category too no less. Each new series he entered he had had way, way more experience than his fellow rookies did on day one. Performance is a factor of raw talent, experience and commitment/effort. Lance is a terrible talent, but combined with far more experience than those around him, giving him an advantage to make up for his total lack of talent and as a result he was able to have some good results. He should never have gotten anywhere near an F1 cockpit, he never had the talent to warrant a chance.

If stroll wasn’t such a terrible driver I wouldn’t be annoyed. All of these other drivers have to prove themselves to be in f1. I feel you need to prove yourself even more to be WORTHY of you taking 1 of 20 seats. But he hasn’t. He has been in f1 for 7 years and just because he’s good in the wet doesn’t mean he’s worthy of f1. He still makes very stupid rookie mistakes and causes millions of dollars of damage. It was fine when the team was starting to figure things out and he could hide behind the fact that he was bad. But now they’re a legitimate title contender and he still fucks it into the barriers every other fucking race.

They group together and write hateful stuff all they because that's how busyt they are. Some youtubers like you will do it for clout, like you just did. Lance has shown massive improvement and I’d go as far that even if he still doesn’t belong on the grid as there’s very likely better drivers out there, he now does enough to remain and not be offensive. The only difference is the way this guy’s F1 career started, he definitely did not deserve the time it took him to go from ‘painful to watch and annoyingly clumsy on-track’ to now an ‘acceptable, just enough kind of driver’.
