How To Teach Your Dog To Communicate With Buttons

Im Going To Show You How To Start Your Dog On The Talking Buttons!
At first we did not know what to expect. We saw a few other dogs already using the buttons so we thought we would give it a try.. We had no idea how to even begin training our dog to press it. After days of just leaving it on the ground and nothing happening we decided to try this method and it worked great within the first 2-3 days Luna was already on her 4th word. I think its possible for all dogs to communicate with their owners. It requires a lot of time and patience. Not all dogs have the same learning capability so just take it 1 step at a time and i'm sure everything will be okay. Feel free to comment below if you have any questions or DM us on instagram!

I had to quit with the buttons at 7. My pup drives me NUTS! He never stops talking all day long, if one button doesn’t get a response the. He tries the next button. 😂😂😂

Exactly what I needed. I got our buttons and was all set to start working on words when I realized I missed a crucial step...I hadn't researched how to teach them to press the buttons to begin with 😂

Ms. Claus bought the buttons, in less than 4 hours, both young dogs are nose booping and occasionally pawing the button. I can't wait to start teaching them other words. Tired of grunts for everything which frustrates everybody involved when the humans can't guess correctly. I love my 4 legged kids and can't wait to better communicate with them. Thank you

After you decide how many, record into them, put them where they will “always” be and let the dog just live with them for a week. If they should tap one from curiosity, pay them with whatever button they pressed, ie: take her out, give a treat, They need to get used to them being a part of the rest of their lives. My favorite usefull button we started with (after treat button, cuz, thats a must to get them interested), is “WATER?”. We are just getting started, I want Stella to tell me she needs water. Almost every time I look in that bowl, it’s just about or is empty. Common’ Stella… let me know what you need besides plating and treats, I already know you want that!

Today was my first day training my mini Yorkie! At first she was scared of the buttons, but after about 15 min she got to touching one for a treat using the method you shown. Don’t know how long it will take for her to actually push it because she is so small lol but this video helped thank you!

I decided I wouldnt use the treat word as I know he will ask for a treat constantly and we already use a lot in training. So I have literally just used the word 'button' to teach him to press the button. Now I will move on to using 'outside', 'play' and 'training'. Cant wait to keep adding new words so he can communicate what he wants 🥺😁

Thank you. Most helpful video of FIRST step. Other folks just showed you their already trained dog pressing the buttons. Not helpful. I will try the paw with button in hand and see how that works. Will report back here if it worked. I thin the treat one will get her since she is food motivated. Eventually I'll remove that one cause well, than she will always be pressing it.

I wanted to start off with treat and water, he gets really excited about water and tends to bark at me when he needs a refill, it's really what pushed me to get the buttons. So that when I'm watching TV and he runs out of water, he can push the water button to lmk, instead of barking at me and I have no idea what he wants. Plus, if I get up, it reinforces the idea that barking at me will get him what he wants. I think this video will help me out a lot in teaching him, so thank you very much for this.

I’m dying to use these buttons, because my Pom can almost very early after a walk start barking like crazy like he needs to go out. But sometimes it’s because he needed to poop and he didn’t the last walk. But other times it’s fex he wants something he can’t get. Also I try and not go to walk right away because he got accustomed to walks all the time and in the middle of the night when I need to sleep. So teaching him this must be a life saver. But it seems super hard to teach him this!

These buttons are just the beginning. Next will be -interfacing buttons with computer screens somehow..(a teenager could probably figure it out) I'm not a computer expert, but seems logical in that dogs can push a button and see a picture that communicates a thought, idea, person, thing, feeling etc. Soon, dogs will express more complete and complex things...a little scary for humans...as it might knock us off our thrones...A "Hey Google for Dogs".
