I've been using meters for years and never realized the additional symbols next to a function meant to press the select button. I knew to press the select button for the function I wanted but seeing you do it and pointing it out was a duh moment for me. Never too old to learn something thanks!

Thank you so much for your thorough explanation of the multimeter. I've been using multimeters for years and I have always tested for continuity with the ohm setting. I never realized there was a continuity setting. And I always wondered what that symbol meant. And most of the time when I'm thinking I want to check homes. I want you actually check continuity.
