its pretty wild. i chose to buy mlb tv assuming id be able to watch mlb network but no i cant watch mlb network, minor league games fuck i cant even watch my team because of blackout restrictions i understand its my fault for doing zero research but jesus it has tv in the name and i cant watch tv. sports subscriptions are so unbelievably broken

Baseball is struggling to keep fans. They lose fans every year because more and more people have cut the cord and they don't give you a way to watch the games. Every team should have it's own app by now and allow a monthly fee then MLB could pocket ALL the money from those fees. These options are just not doable after cutting the cord.

MLS is even worse so I don't follow my team in my area. Espn+ will not let me watch replays and live games for my team in MLS. No regional network. No radio broadcast.

Insane. I am 61. We used to watch games for free long ago. I don't mind paying, but I no longer use cable tv. I can only see 1 game live a week for the Yankees with Prime. I would pay more but mlb still wants you to have cable.

the problem is watching other sports from USA is pretty easy (Football, Hockey etc.) even if you are out of the country but Baseball is what i strugfle with

hi i wanted to watch the cubs when they play- how do i do this? just the cubs-whoever they play. also is there an option for no cost if i only watch 1 team only? i wanted to watch my team tonight-i have no cable.. just internet.. i'm on an extreme budget.. i cannot afford even basic cable due to obligations family.. thanks for any help/advice you could offer.

I just wish UKpostsTV would work something out with Sinclair to get Bally Sports, even as an add on. I can’t stand DirecTV Stream so that’s not an option for me. I guess I’ll just have to settle with listening to my local MLB team’s games on the radio.

So unless I missed it, except for a few special games, you have to have Root Sports for the Mariners which they do not have a stream option, the only way is Xfinity.

I signed up in time and have it running. Vpn doesn't work so no need to attempt. Blocks access to app at least. I just hear audio and watch important plays later on in the archive game.

How about the Bally networks? They carry many of the regional teams now and don’t seem to be available on many of the cord cutter services.

Again, like I mentioned in your short video, Peacock and TBS are the only ones you’re missing. Apple TV+ is free for the first 12 Fridays of the season, beginning tonight. After that, you must be a subscriber to get the remaining games there. TBS does the Tuesday night games. I believe it’s one nationally televised Tuesday night game a week. Peacock will have one Sunday morning or afternoon game beginning on May 8th where that game is free with a NBC simulcast. The remaining 17 games are strictly through Peacock’s premium plan…and it’s exclusive so don’t get confused with what MLB TV was able to get around in the old ESPN deal. TBS and Apple TV+ are replacements to ESPN’s old Tuesday and Friday night packages, while Peacock replaces TBS’ old Sunday Morning/Afternoon package. What seems to be the big addition to the new MLB deals (that no one is talking about) is more national games from TBS, which is quite nice for cable and even streaming providers as long as you can get the Turner Networks. It’s a complicated world these days when it comes to watching or finding the games we want! I’m a fan of 4-5 sports, so I completely understand the potential and the frustrations with the future of sports media and broadcasting! Regional networks are a huge epidemic with these deals because the RSN’s and the dinosaur traditional cable networks make a lot of things 1000x harder. So this is how it goes with MLB National Broadcasts Sunday Morning/Afternoon: 98% Peacock (through the premium plan). 2% is that 5/08 game between the White Sox and Red Sox that’s 100% Free and also will be broadcasted on NBC for the first time in nearly 25 years. Sunday Night: ESPN (zero change with ESPN’s cream of the crop Sunday Night Package) Tuesday night: TBS Friday night: 2 Apple TV+ Games (First 12 weeks are 100% Free) Which doesn’t include the national FOX and FS1 broadcasts that are spread out throughout the entire schedule, but most of those games are on Saturday’s. MLB Network is MLB Network. Their schedule is kind of all over the place. Some are exclusive, some aren’t. Finally, you have the Regional stuff which is 90% MLB TV (for out of market games) and/or a cable/streaming provider (for your hometown teams) and like 10% ESPN+ Hopefully, this clears most of the confusion or uncertainty. Trust me, it’s not easy for me either.

Not sure if you guys know about MLB66 but usually you can watch any game you choose on there. They have been blocked at the moment I’m writing this, but they’ve posted that it may take a week or so to fix, but them and streameast usually have every game to choose from 🖖🍻

I certainly can NOT get my local sports with satellite, well not with Dish…it doesn’t carry MASN which has my 2 local MLB teams, or Monumental Sports Network which carries my local NHL and NBA teams. I’m fd unless without a VPN.

I absolutely refuse to pay to watch mlb on a regular bases. I listen to the reds live online some. Often I won't listen to the whole game then I watch the game summary free on youtube. I don't know the score from the beginning so it's like a short version of the game. Works fine for me for a freebie.

Last year, I became a huge Braves fan. I have cable and their games were easy to find and watch. It was great! Living in the South, I had never seen the term “blackout.” Now, the Braves have blacked out nearly the entire Southeast U.S. and I’m spending a lot of money on cable and streaming and getting NO GAMES. 😢 Even my independent server won’t get me in the back door. I bought my (infant) grandson a Braves baseball hat and have decided to give it away. Professional sports has become so greedy, and they DO NOT care about their fan base. Sorry, but I can’t drive 5-6 hours to watch a single ball game, pay for a hotel, food, gas, etc. everytime I want to see a game. We are talking several hundreds of dollars per person. I will find something else to watch.

TBS has a game of the week every Tuesday night starting this season. Unfortunately if you have fuboTV you will not be able to watch those games because fubo does not have Turner networks. FuboTV says they are the number one choice for sports fans. That is an out right lie. They don’t have all the major league baseball, NBA playoffs, March madness and the NHL.

I have had a subscription to MLBTV for years. It used to be that if you didn't like it, you could cancel your subscription and get your money back. No more. I hate this setup, and I want to cancel but they won't let me. This morning I tuned into the white sox @ redsox game, and they are making me go to the peacock network, sign up, and pay to watch the game on that network which I already paid to watch. Is there a lawsuit waiting to happen here?

The problem with MLB on a streaming service is there is no way to record it and thus you are forced to watch the entire game "live". This is NOTT how I watch MLB anymore, even for my hometown team. I record the game via Comcast and fast forward through to the interesting parts. I don't need to see balls and strikes and foul balls. ORR I switch back and forth between some other cable show and go backwards if necessary. Most people don't want to watch 3.5 straight hours of baseball unless it is an unusually interesting game.
