Life in the coldest inhabited place on earth is not easy, and even seemingly simple daily tasks, can take a whole day!
Locals dedicate their weekend to doing laundry and washing in their wooden bathhouse, the only option for maintaining personal hygiene in a region without running water.

7:00 I love that the little one is chewing on the dumpling dough, and when she sees that her family have noticed, she offers them the dough that she was eating. I love that babies always do that, it's both generous and silly, like they know that they are enjoying eating this thing and want to share, but don't realize yet that other people don't want to share their partly-chewed food.

I fell in love immediately and forgot about the Caribbean weather. I've always dreamt about being in a place where it's continually snowy and cold...and I think I just found that place. The lifestyle amuses me. It Takes me back to my roots; Doing manual labor for the things we need. It teaches patience, discipline ..and I've realized overall it makes families happier. People of #Yakutia use the same type of axe on innocent women, children and elderly in #Ukraine today. They torture, murder civilians in their own homes. This is a *curated propaganda video/channel*. Hard to imagine? Look it up yourself! They look so human, so grounded, yet, these are the people (along with savages from #Buryatia) are committing the most satanic, sadistic warcrimes It is an edited, scripted video to manipulate your “Western” opinions of russian while they beat 4 year olds to death! . #WarCriminals #RussianWarCrimes #ManipulativePropaganda #RussianPropaganda

As a student and living in a dormitory I have experienced going out on -10 degrees C out after warming up in the bath, if you warm up properly the cold won't bother you for a short period.

Very very resilient and everyone has the responsibility doing each chore. What a wonderful adorable family even the little kid. Because she sees that everyone are moving she also loves to interact. We can see the good values the parents imparted to the kids as they grow up. So blessed to watch them with this kind of weather, wowww it’s truly the grace of God👏👏👏

Beautiful little piece of observational documentary. I really felt I was part of an evening with this yakutian family. My respect for the coordinated, supportive and hard working harmony of the family running their daily life in such extraordinary weather conditions.

I have always wondered how people maintained hygiene at extreme temperatures like these. Suddenly this video got recommended and it totally answered my question.

It's great to see the family all have a role to play and without each other life becomes more and more difficult. They keep each other spirits up and seem very happy. It would be extremely difficult to live alone in a place like this. I think it would be too lonely.

I especially love the roles, each depend on each other, each role counts. Men do what women cannot and women do what men cannot. A family. A community.

People keep commenting on how hard their lives look, but it seems really idealic to me. They have a really close knit family, defined roles and purpose within that, they know everyone in their community, etc. I grew up in a very cold place, and I didn't see any of it as horrific.

I'd take -999 degrees all day, every day, but defined roles? Nah, that's anything but free and idyllic.

@@georginaraven1691 If you do not have defined roles within your community, be that at the level of a town or as small as a family, then you will never be a complete person. If you view that having a defined roll within a structure as a negative thing, then you misunderstand what it is that brings meaning to people.
