As I pull each HP Spectre x360 out of the box, there is no visible difference between the two. They both come in a beautiful graphite gray with gold trim and beveled edges. This is one of the most regal laptops I have ever had the pleasure of reviewing in my studio.
Both of these laptops weigh the same, have the same ports, keyboard, trackpad, excellent 2-in-1 convertible pen capabilities and matte gray finish. However there are a few very important differences that set these two laptops a part and will make a big difference to you depending on your use case.
So without any more waiting, let’s get into the reason you’re here and that’s to make sure you make the right decision when choosing a Spectre x360. I won’t drone on about all of the in-depth details of the laptop in this video. The first major difference between the two laptops in my studio is the color gamut range. They both come with 4k touch-enable 60Hz refresh rate screens…
but the model with the 11th Gen Intel i7-1165G7 reaches 340 Nits at full brightness with a color gamut range of 97% sRGB - 77% Adobe RGB - 79% DCI-P3 all at an average Delta E color accuracy of 1.37. Not to shabby!
On the other hand the model with the i7-10750H is an OLED 4k screen, can reach 400 Nits at full brightness, and has a color gamut range of 100% sRGB - 99% Adobe RGB - 99% DCI-P3 all at an average Delta E color accuracy of 1.74.
Now, the bigger confusion (or if you do your research, lack of confusion) comes on HP’s Online Store. If you look at the customization sheet when you’re preparing to purchase your laptop you’ll see multiple screen options available to you at different price points.
One option at 340 Nits and two options at 400 Nits. If you want 100% sRGB and 99% Adobe RGB then you will want to snag the OLED 4k screen option. If you believe 97% sRGB is suitable for your work then you can pick up the 340 Nits screen or the 400 Nits screen non-OLED version.
The first Spectre x360 comes with:

The second and slightly less expensive model comes with:
CPU: Intel 11th Gen Core i7-1165G7 (4 Cores 8 Threads)
GPU: Intel Iris Xe
RAM: 16GB DDR4
Storage: 512GB SSD
In the Photoshop benchmarks the HP Spectre x360 Xe with it i7-1165G7 fooled me and pulled slightly ahead of the HP Spectre x360 with its i7-10750H model. I did not expect this. So right off the bat, if you want a more powerful Photoshop laptop, I would pick the more affordable i7-1165G7 version of the HP Spectre x360. As you can see the i7-1165G7 scored a 623 over the i7-10750H with its 601.
Both laptops are definitely strong contenders if you’re looking for a Photoshop laptop. You can also use this reference if you are considering other design or photography focused software such as Affinity Photo, Sketch, and Figma.
If you’re looking for a highly color accurate laptop with the performance you need in Photoshop and similar design tools, but don’t anticipate doing any video editing, motion design, or 3D modeling then I would pick up the Spectre x360 with the i7-1165G7 with a screen upgrade to 400 nits.
But if you want all that performance and more so that you can work on video edits, 3D modeling, and motion design then make sure to pick up the i7-10750H model with its dedicated GPU. Oh, and if you want the color accuracy make sure to pick up the 4k OLED screen model.
