my dad both works at a place that sells herman miller chairs and is genuinely interested in chairs in general so i opened up the sims, made a basement full of lights and just. Showed him all the chairs in all the packs i have. Kept on saying "oh thats based on [brand]" "we sell that one" "id paint that one" and he really liked it.

This is like my dream. I looove cluttered offices in the Sims! I would love to see a streamer that spends their life online in their gaming room, piles of video games, energy drinks, collectibles, and playing new games that would come in the pack (would look great with high school years); a stressed out writer surrounded by shabby stacks of paper books and clutter, furiously typing (would also partner great with the booknook kit); an entrepreneur sim with a sleek laptop, with filing cabinets, printers, TABLE/WALL PHONES!!!! and comfy meeting chairs (city living/dream home decorator match up?). Flawless.

Pro tip if windows don't delete. Build a room including the window and raise the platform up to the top, it'll delete it and once you delete the room and platform, it'll remain like that.

a bit off topic, but i think sometimes you should try something different from the floor plan you usually do. for example, everytime you can fit 2+ bedrooms you turn them into a kids/teen bedroom, but you could also make them music rooms, art studios, candle makers spaces, little cinemas, laundry room etc... i think sometimes making more houses with these different, but useful spaces could be really cool!!!

Yeah, the Herman Miller chairs are more expensive than my entire gaming PC (possibly even if I had bought all the parts at full price- I waited for sales on every single part, lol). I'd love to save up for one eventually but it's just not a priority, even though I sit at my desk for a lot more than 8 hours a day 😅a $20 butt pillow and a free back pillow are doing wonders for now, despite my landfill-worthy chair. Happy for her to get such a sponsor, and that she and Dan can afford them, but as you said, probably not many of us are about to buy them in this economy 😂

When my mom lived in an apartment, the bedrooms were close to the front door bc there were less windows so there was more light in the living room, kitchen and dining room! Its weird but it works haha

It's the same in my apartment, first room is the bedroom, you have to walk through the whole apartment to go to kitchen. It's really small, so it's no issue, but it's literally the last thing here, and it's not like there's more light, the smallest window is there and all the windows are on one wall 😂

They can't really help being offered those sponsorships though. Like a company selling small goods isn't at all likely to pay for an influencer sponsorship but the companies selling bigger items which are relevant to the videos they're sponsoring can do it easily. You'd be surprised how many sales they really do get from these ads.

I don’t play the Sims anymore (I didn't have any time during school) but I am just finishing up my bachelors degree in interior design. I don't have a Herman Miller chair (mine is a Lifeform, out of Canada), but if you can get a rugged, long-lasting, high adjustable chair like one of theirs (or mine), I will tell you that they are worth every single penny. I've had mine for 16-ish years, and I am loving it to death I strongly recommend that if you spend a lot of time in an office chair, it's worth every penny to go for a high quality one.

That desk you rejected 😄! When I decorated my NSB legacy house G8 I went through and used as many of the "career rewards" that I'd been saving in the household inventory as I could. I used that desk in G8s office, it was where he would go to write and practice his skits. It IS odd but it was honestly fun vibes in the end. Love the video, love the apartment. Didn't love that 12% of the video was an advert for a chair none of us will ever be able to afford while ads are still turned on in the video. I get doing ads and sponsorships, but more than 10% of this video was about a chair.

Challenge idea!! Build a house but every room is a different shape: You have to only use furniture that at least remind of the shape. I think that'll be so cool!! :)

I understand why the sponsor seems off for Kayla’s main audience, but a chair that expensive is an investment for a gamer who makes their money from gaming, just like 1K hair scissors are an investment for hair stylists. Just a thought
