I will make:
1. Plain, Standard, Classic French Puff Pastry
2. The same standard classic French puff pastry, only faster
3. The third option, also classic French puff pastry, the fastest option.
4. Inverted puff pastry, inside out, where the dough is wrapped in butter.
5. Classic French puff pastry on low protein flour. This will be an experiment. Let's see why protein in flour is important?
And I will buy:
2 store-bought puff pastry:
1. Puff pastry on margarine
2. Puff pastry on butter.
I will roll out all 7 types of dough to the same thickness, and cut them into identical circles.
I will leave these circles of puff pastry for 30 minutes.
1. Puff pastry on the table
2. Puff pastry in the fridge
3. Puff pastry in the freezer
I will then bake all 7 types of French puff pastry at the same time from 3 states: warm, cold, and frozen.
