I got an Idea Matt: Take 4.6 V8 engine to those performance tuners who tune BMWs, NissannGTRs and Toyota Supras to 1000hp for 8000 pounds, let them put some beefy turbos or supercharger on it and do a couple of drag races of the limo vs Tesla/Porsche 911/Lambos or even McLaren

I freaking love All of the Carwow videos but this was the most entertaining one I’ve seen! Felt like a variety show! The old ladies, the stripper comments, the chips, trying to get people in the car, the drifting, Sam being educational and proficient about the J-turn and how to restart the engine. The funny editing was also hilarious!

I'm amazed it didn't snap in half.... we booked one in the early 90's from Cambridge to London and back for a night out... I can still remember the sound of tortured metal everytime we went around a roundabout, the smell of petrol, the smell of burnt brakes and the best part was when one of the lads was getting seasick in the back and we swapped places, I put my foot through the floor and got a nice toasty foot massage from the drive shaft!!! No wonder the bastards wanted payment up front 😂😂

For future reference, there's a lever in the trunk to pull if the electric fuel door fails. Also, if the shifter is binding, first check to make sure the brake switch at the pedal is working, because it won't shift out of park if it's not. Alternatively, there are 2 T30 torx screws that can come loose in the shifter linkage underneath the dash near the steering column. Free and easy fix but the lack of threadlock on those bolts was less than ideal. Some of the electronics in these were overly ambitious but this limo will get someone wherever they want to go for a few hundred thousand miles more, or until it snaps in half.

Vids like this that break up some of the usual drag races, sport cars, ect. Is such a nice change of pace at times.

Drove one of these from Las Vegas to Timbuktu, a 1988 model, 5’ stretch in white with red pleather interior. Paid $1500 for it. Good times. Great long distance road trip machines. Tons of load capacity, highway fuel econo not that bad compared to a truck or SUV carrying the same load since much better aero. Something is wrong with yours, shouldn’t be that bad, we got above 20mpg highway and low teens even when offroad. Can confirm, donuts are possible, although snow or gravel helps. Some of them also have LSD’s…. The tires are very heavily loaded and need very high air pressure. Watch out for sudden blowouts, especially a front tire at highway speed, very scary! Pretty good off-road at a pinch, ours had air shocks in the back to lift the rear, and they usually have uprated axles, suspension and trans. Add some front spring spacers, a skid plate to protect the trans cooler/radiator/sump, and go hit the sand dunes in the Sahara, or wherewhere. Cheap to fix and surprising robust, even the interiors hold up well to offroad abuse depending on who the “coachbuilder” was. Electrical can be a nightmare especially if they’ve been molested. Pay someone to clean the interior, all kinds of horrors are lurking under those seats….

We had that 4.6 in our used Crown Vic police interceptor (bought it just for the sticker). Got it up to 135mph but I've always been amazed how underpowered it was in retrospect.
