Well, I didn’t think that I would have tears within the first 5 min of watching this video. The happiness in your grandmothers face when you told her you was simply priceless. I just lost my mom on 3/31 and she always wanted to take an Alaskan cruise even though she hates boats and planes...lol. My stepdad (born & raised in the south) was stationed in Alaska in the early 60's for Jan, Feb and March. He said when they walked off the plane all the moisture in their eyes and nose froze because it was -80° F. They lived in tents with bullet heaters and he was miserable. By the end of March it was up to 0° and they were running around in short sleeves because their blood had thickened up by then but he still couldn't wait to leave. When my mom told him she'd like to go on an Alaskan cruise he said an emphatic no. He said he would never go back to Alaska as long as he lived. She just said but it'll be summer, you were there in the winter. He said...no, no and no. Now that you're taking your grandmother it brought back those memories and both of them are gone now so thank you. If I was young and healthy I'd be joining you on the trip but that's not possible now. So when the time comes have a wonderful safe trip for all who are going.

This video is so touching to me as a 65 yo grandma! ❤😢❤ I’m at the ending of raising my grand-twins and it’s been such a wonderful experience! It’s been really good for us all. They started living with me the summer before the started 8th grade and are now graduating high school, heading into the workforce and one will start college in the fall, when we are all 3 separating and each heading on our own adventure. Not quite the northern lights but this just brought back a childhood adventure, wild camping at a local observatory, lying on a picnic table watching shooting stars and satellite spotting. What a great story! My wife's mother camped in a Class C until she was nearly 80. The camping trips we did together with lots of laughs will always be remembered. She also went to Alaska with her husband by RV and then around the United States. Now that she's no longer with us it's even more special to think about it. This will be something you'll never forget. Love the content and stories you tell!🙌

Good for you taking your grandma I miss my grandma she taught me how to ride my dirtbike. And when I was a pitcher on my little league baseball team, she would help me as she would be the catcher helping me practice and I was always surprised when she said, throw me the fastball She was always my best buddy. Happy tears here too! My parents had an Alaska cruise planned for their anniversary. Unfortunately we lost my father before they were able to do that. However, last year, I was able to take my mother on that cruise and it was an amazing experience! Looking forward to seeing and hearing about your trip.
