"The gods" refered here are probably not the chaos gods as people interpret it. Remember, the emperor didnt consider Khorne and the like to be real gods.

To my understanding, because that the Imperuim made up of an alliance of both Terra and Mars both are needed, the techpriest follows the Emperor believing that he is the omnissiah a god, Terra and the rest of mankind follow him because that he is the God Emperor of Mankind. Right now there are some limitations, but if you're an artist and learning how to use these tools in your workflow. Believe me in a year when everything is more advanced you can produce phenomenal results. it's easy to criticize now because of the flaws. But very soon people won't notice the difference and those who are firmly against AI will re-consider many things. Just like how As modern militaries emerged in the 19th century, the samurai were rendered increasingly obsolete and very expensive to maintain compared to the average conscript soldier. Now you can choose to be an obsolete Samurai in the field or a modern capable soldier.

That's not the AI that's the quote from the beginning of the rule/lorebooks. There are several ways to interpret the line. Some favorable to Chaos and some not.

It's more that it's comparatively difficult to get the lighting 'wrong' as long as you copy existing patterns in background lighting. A computer can fairly easily understand 'do background color x, since x: contrast with color y in blobs, draw colour z in straight-line godrays everywhere else, darken color based on distance from edges of shape', if it gets a few rays 'wrong' or the shading doesn't really make sense, we'll either not notice or assume it's a stylistic choice but god forbid it tries to statistically mode motion and facial features. Good luck beating millions of years of monke brain uncanny valley sense. AI will get there eventually, but without actually processing exactly what and why certain details/motion occur, it won't get any better than 'cool but flawed'

First one is a Psyker. Second feels more like an imperial agent of sort. Maybe an assassin or an Inquisition acolyte/agent. Also, if you like 40k but don't feel like reading or listening to lore vids, I recommend the Helsreach movie on UKposts.

@@taserrr i guess it will be the same as its with many other jobs already replaced by machines. And AI-Art still requires a Human to direct it, it will be a new tool. I for an example would think even higher of people that still know how to do something that can be done by automation. The positives in this case would be that many people arnt required to grind years/decades to create something like this short movie here, it literally opens the floodgate for people that might have a creative vision but not the technical know-how yet.

@@taserrr Art will not be out for humans because Art is a luxury product in most cases that will be in demand, that and also the discipline extends to stuff like mechanical design. If anything, it would become a tool to streamline things like backgrounds or do things like upscaling, but for infinity I do not see AI replacing the human mind and hand. What is frustrating though are people claiming to be artists just because they punched in a few words and then attempt to pass it off as theirs.

It makes the player feels more involved as you can create your own story base on the main plot mythology. Probably one of the reasons why they have things like missing primarch, lost worlds, space/time fuckery of the warp.......

I 100% agree, almost every frame looks good at a glance, but after three seconds you can tell its just not it.

I mean we're starting to see some initial sparks in AI generation but it still lacks vision, cohesion and general idea of what it wants to portray. I don't think AI tools will be good enough to beat Hollywood anytime soon. It might get there but we're still far from it.

to me it definitely doesnt take away from the realism of it all. looks absolutely amazing. due to it being fantasy the strange warping looks believable
