Interesting video, but where is the advertized vertical takeoff? Clickbait.

The actual pilot was amazing what a rush it must be to be in control of that huge beast. What a pity they didn't show the proper pilot who deserves to be recognized. ❤

What's with the annoying sirens? It's just an new Air Force Academy graduate going for an F-16 familiarization ride in the back seat. It's not DEFCON 1.

This is a major dis-service to this amazing female pilot. Instead of showing how amazing SHE is, they instead decided to focus on a beautiful, untrained (as a fighter pilot) girl and totally disregard the actual guts and commitment that this REAL female fighter pilot has.

If you look closely, a Polish single-seater (symbol on the vertical stabilizer) with the conspicuous angular additional tanks on the right and left of the fuselage is flying the maneuvers. So the ladies apparently changed their “shoes” (or the plane from a two-seater to a one-seater) during the flight - respect!

The siren in the background is just annoying. Not sure what the intent is with that.

Bait and switch. There are so many glaring inconsistencies here. The first one is the claim of Extreme Vertifcally Takeoff - really? I was an F-16 flightline avionics tech for 3+ years. I have participated in more F-16 (C and D model) launches than I can remember. So, first of all, they show the pilot getting into a D-model F-16 (two seater) - these models are used for training. She is getting into the back seat where the trainee sits. And it is also clear that the assistance she is getting putting on the g-suit it is her first time (that's fine, everyone has a first), but don't make it out to be more than it is. All the armaments have the safeties already pulled - that only happens at EOR (End of Runway). Then on takeoff, you are showing a C-model (single seater). It was a C-model with all the external shots. Believe me, that was NOT a vertical takeoff. So quit trying to push your diversity agenda with obviously faked videos. It is disappointing to see such a misrepresentation - it compromises all your other videos. Lose the ridiculous captions and just present the facts.

Seeing the equipment fitting at the beginning brings back a lot of memories I'd almost forgotten. It was kind of like getting Christmas gifts. I had a problem with leaks around my oxygen mask until they gave me one like hers.

We got to see a lot of the pretty young blonde who, according to commenters was a student at the Air Force Academy. As folks have pointed out, We saw very little of the redheaded pilot who appears to be a heck of an ace, based on the maneuvers she put that airplane through. That is a disservice to her, but I enjoyed the video and found it interesting. If the young blonde was afraid/nervous, she didn't show it. I'm just glad I don't have to wear a full flight suit with those multiple layers!

This is apparently her first time, at least at this duty station, since she's getting her g-suit fitted, and doesn't know how to strap herself into the backseat (The front-seater is the pilot). Watching her looking around,with one hand on the canopy rail, instead of on the throttle, and on takeoff reaching behind her head for whatever instead of flying the plane with her right hand makes it apparent that she's probably someone going for a ride.

That seriously blows away any roller coaster ride. I would love to go up in one, my first air flight was in a 2 seater prop plane that was used to train civilian pilots my uncles brother was a flight instructor. I think it was around 1974 and i was 14 at the time. I've been on a few commercial airlines but its nothing like a old prop plane, you go up in one of them its like you have wings. A commercial aircrafts like riding a bus. The prop plane all the planes controls were right in frt of me. Both seats had pilot controls. I think i was too young to touch the controls. He told me not to. But it would have been fun. These jets are a hell of a lot faster. Not sure i could handel some of the menuvers they make at my age now.

That video account mentioned about this young pilot career options and aspirations. Need to cross check video 'facts' and 'claims' in these UKposts posts !!!!

The lady getting the suit on is not an F16 pilot but USAF's own Lt Madison Marsh getting ready for a familiarization flight at Nellis !She was Miss Colorado but just crowned Miss USA, the first active duty military to be thus crowned. She's quite cute and smart as she's in a masters program at Harvard! This video takes a lot of liberties with the supposed scenario, no need to add the klaxon!

There is deception in the images. In close-up, there are AIM 9 and AIM 120 missiles on board the aircraft. In distant shots, there is only 1 missile on the wingtips. That is, close-up and distant images are images of different aircraft

Who the blazes wrote that copy? It's not only dreadful writing, it's wrong. When the scenery needed her suit explained to her, it didn't tell anyone her level of expertise? When the redhead had to show blondie where to attach stuff in the back seat, it didn't adequately identify who was the pilot and who was the ballast? For that matter, when blondie sat in the cargo seat, it didn't suggest anything to these folks? Un-effing-believable.

The fact that a siren is playing in the background for dramaturgical reasons may be kind of funny, but the fact that you have to listen to this crazy sound for 5 minutes shows how badly the video was edited. You just don't do something like that because at some point it just starts to get annoying! Das man aus dramturgischen Gründen da im hintergrund eine Sirene laufen lässt mag ja irgendwie ganz witzig sein, aber das man sich diesen bekloppten Sound 5 Minuten lang anhören muss zeigt was für ein stümper das Video geschnitten hat. Sowas macht man einfach nicht weil es ab einem Zeitpunkt einfach anfängt zu nerven!

The aircraft doing the aerobatics is not the one she is flying. You can clearly see the lack of underwing tanks and the tail marking is different. Also the landing aircraft is a different one as the tail marking is different. So did she actually do any flying? Maybe she parachuted down to do some shopping 😂

The entire video is misleading! Not only is the thumbnail wrong and misleading, but only someone blindly half-watching could not tell this is a F-16D ride-along intercut with Polish F-16Cs from another location. Hailing women advancing in military defense is all well and good, but it damages their credibility if it is not factual and accurate. While the other pilot is also a woman, the video is clearly secondhand with the majority of the footage focusing on the rider and not the pilot. The reversed text is the effort to get around copyright and authorship as a derivative work. Vote these jokers down. Maybe they'll get out of their basement and go find real worthy original video they capture on their own.

And a salute to the ground crew and mechanics that make this all possible.

Has she ever sat in one of these before? The siren is annoying and dubbed in I believe. I was raised in the Philippenes in the early 50's and grew up with air raids. This is a totally bogus production.
