I could see myself living in that space, but not with someone else and I would probably have different items in there because I have different needs for my living space. I studied fashion and still make a lot of stuff at home so I would probably devote a big % of that space to storage of materials, patterns, books and clothes. And a large table, perhaps one that can be extended when it's time to cut fabric or draw large patterns.

I've been greedily following these types of videos. My husband and I became Empty Nesters last year, and we live in a 5bd/3ba house. We are realizing that it makes no sense for the two of us to have such a large space. We don't plan on selling it, because we know here in the SF Bay Area that housing prices will never drop down to what we purchased it for. $125,000 twenty seven years ago, and now worth $957,000+. We do want to find a smaller place to retire in not limited to the US.

I love it when Japanese people give tours of their houses. They explain everything they put there and why they put it there in such detail it really shows how much thought goes into interior design when they furnish their home. Resourcefulness and ingenuity are part of the Japanese charm for me, and most times when they talk about things they made or designed they seem very proud but always humble about it, it puts a smile on my face to see them talk about small passions like ingenuous home design like that, I might even covet their peace of mind.

This house is like a work of art. Beautifully crafted, super efficient and open with a connection to nature as well as tons of natural light. I love the use of the airline cart for storage it holds so much and the table was a beautiful repurpose. I would love a house like this. One of, if not the best I've seen so far.

I’m not really into interior design or architecture, but this house just makes me appreciate it so much more. From the outside, I assumed it would be so cramped on the inside, but it feels more spacious than my house even though it’s so much smaller! I wish that I could go there to look at all the little details.

Aw that's awesome that Ayaka got the chance to talk to the owner! Watching these tiny house videos always make me feel shameful for how inefficient I use my own spaces lol. but seeing how creative people can get with their living space is fun!

Absolutely amazing tiny house and use of space. Really loving the use of concrete contrasted with wood and decorations. Mind-blowing, really.

I absolutely love that Okazaki-san returns for these kinds of videos! Her enthusiasm is so contagious and seeing her perspective for different design choices and how they're sometimes a total 180° flip to how I'd look at it is so interesting. I REALLY need to see more of that record collection! I've got my own and I'm really interested in seeing the differences between record collections and music tastes between different cultures.

As always Okazaki-san is an absolute delight to watch explore a space. This is definitely one of the coolest small spaces you've explored so far, I love the use of every little nook and bolt. As Okazaki-san said It's clear everything was chosen and placed with love. My Favorite part has to be the old sewing machine table. I just adore vintage and inventive things, so neat!

Love these tiny house/apartment videos, because they’re all so unique. I’d love to see and hear Ayaka her reactions to tiny western houses/apartments. Also congratulations to Ayaka for graduating! Now she can design tiny places herself, hope she gets to do so anyway. 😊

I love that the skylights and big windows allow you to have living plants in all parts of the building, not just near the exterior walls. I think that definitely helps carry that sense of being connected to the outdoors, even in a house that's majority concrete. And since there are so many plants just outside and across the walkway, it kind of feels like little bits of them are sneaking in over time. It's super whimsical, which I love. The airline cabinet is genius, too.

I love this! Out of the countless videos and shows about tiny homes that I've seen, this is definitely one of my favourites. I could probably live here, small toilet space and all. It seems very well thought out and planned, and I love that not only do they have a queen sized bed and a large shower, but there's also an outdoors tub that can't really be seen by any of the neighbours. I think that having the doors open at both ends really makes it seem bigger, as do the high ceilings and the skylight. I'm not a fan of cement structures, but it works here and somehow pulls it all together, in my very humble opinion. My favourite part of this is the sewing machine base for the table. That's a fantastic idea!
