I used to steal from houses when i was 12, the cops took an interest in me and even called me in an office at school. The detective was actually a nice guy, when he saw how scared i was he looked kind of embarrassed actually. Then I stole a bb gun from a Builders emporium and one of my friends told his asshole friend and somehow my dad found out about it. He paid for the gun, made me apologize, then took me home and beat me with a piece of wood for a while. Between the living in fear for months, to the beatings from my dad, my criminal career did not last too long after that. I would rather do practically anything than keep doing that kind of behavior, and just waiting for the cops to come and get you to go to prison. Especially now - surveillance of ALL kinds - cameras, motion sensors, lasers, facial recognition, and I'm absolutely certain they already have, or soon will have some sort of device to read your mind, never doubt it. Such anti-theft measures are damn near omnipotent in most places, when I did this shit it was the early 1970's when they had nothing like they have now.
