I think the voice translations are AI generated, not done by actual people. There are far more interviews on the Russian language channel (which you can usually watch with subtitles) I'm grateful that they take the time to post on the foreign language channels, though I prefer subtitles myself. But I understand that these interviews are aimed mainly at a Russian audience for obvious reasons 😊 💙🇺🇦💛

I prefer subtitles too. You can feel the emotions in the voice unlike with dubbing.

I totally see the importance of targeting the Russian audience and I think that is becoming an effective strategy because its interesting how many wives and relatives are now aware of Zolkin’s channel when they are contacted by Dima. So this is a major plus and hopefully will sow the seeds of discontent, in the various Oblasts comprising different ethnicities, where much of Russia’s cannon fodder is being mobilised compared to relatively low numbers being mobilised in their more ‘sophisticated’ and wealthier Cities in Muscovy. The problem anyone watching on a iPhone has (I.e me) is that on the VZ site, the subs don’t work if there isn’t an English version as the only option available in playback settings is the one designated by the creator. I’m pretty experienced because I have watched every single interview conducted by both Dima and Zolkin (available in English) since they began. With chattering voices in the media about the ‘slowness of Ukraine’s advance’ I think this channel’s importance in educating the Western public should not be underrated. I think there are many in Ukraine who would be only too happy to volunteer their services to ‘industrialise’ this process and ramp up its’ English output. This may be very useful as the number of prisoner’s being captured currently ( over the last few days over 200) will swamp Dima. Many of these will want to be interviewed because they comprise the forcibly mobilised who have no desire to be in the front lines in Ukraine at all.

I forgot to add that something that is really helpful is that Zolkin’s Tg channel is available with English translation and I tune in every day. It provides a clear understanding of the suffering of the Ukrainian people every day and the sheer heroism and determination of all the Ukrainian battalions who are resisting the invaders. It’s excellent.

I enjoy the voice over vids but my sister, who is hard of hearing, needs the subtitles. I think having both is great 👍

​@@markypro57Are you talking about the videos on the main channel? If you are, sometimes if you long press the cc button you get the option to "auto-translate", and if you press this you get different language options. Not sure if this is what you meant, if not - sorry 😢😊

@hedda2022 when i press the caption button most times I only get the russian option. Other times I'll get English and other Languages. I don't recall seeing the auto translate. I'll Look for it. Thanks for your help.

Love these guys and wish they go back to the original platform of translating the original language into English but keep their own conversations in original voice. Very good to hear the expressions and comments.
