Why oh Why? do the producers of these documentaries feel it is cool to play music over the speaker or narrator? For people with hearing loss, it ruins the video.

I was born in the south of Russia on the coast of the Black Sea. When I was visiting my family in the little town of Sennoy, I used to find pieces of broken clay pottery when I was swimming in the sea, which isn't considered a big surprise here. There're quite a lot of archeologist sites around the area, also.

When I was a boy in Alabama I loved to walk river banks and farm fields after a rain. Pottery and arrowheads were easy to find. There was even an old helicopter airfield and the rotar wash would uncover arrowheads in the soil. I've got a whole box full. It was a fun hobby as a young kid.

Professor William Ryan of Columbia University is a great example of an educator, not an indoctrinator. He welcomes new ideas, challenges to the old ideas. Respect.

Music is not loud enough, I can still hear the narrator.

It needs more cowbell, I can still hear part of the naration.

Based on the graphics and audio this seems to be from the mid 1990s. Would love to see an updated version as new technology has come about.

Grade school through high school, history and science was boring. During my working years, I was just...working, surviving. Now that Ive gotten older, only a wee bit now, lol, I'm finding such things as this very interesting. Enjoyed your video and the history and science. Great work, thank you.

Very mis-leading title of this post. The title of the video is actually, "Dark Secrets of the Black Sea." It is not about some fabled Black Sea "Atlantis." It is really about how a once gigantic fresh water lake was transformed into an even larger saltwater body of water at about the end of the last ice age. It is about the ancient societies who lived along the older lake shore(s) before the waters rose. It is about the stone tools they used, their methods of building construction, about the flora and fauna in the region including mammoths, cave bears and tigers. It is about sediment deposits, subsidence, and other geological processes. If yer lookin' for a "lost civilization" video, this ain't it. But if you wanna take a deep dive into the known and speculative nature of this region of the globe it is a very good video-at least they make some convincing arguments to entertain and enlighten the lay person-like ME!

Another documentary says the Sahara changed from green forest to desert 5000 to 6000 years ago. It changes back an forth every 20,000 years. If true, those latitudes should show effects around the world.
