In my opinion Yair was gonna beat Emmett anyways because he was just a vastly better striker and much more mobile and quicker with his kicks. A shorter heavy hitter like Emmett is always gonna have a extremely difficult time fighting a long limbed unorthodox striker like Yair.

He was visibly smaller when he went on the scale compared to last time (despite being 0.5lb heaver), so i think whatever training & cutting program he was on played as much a part as the rehydration after. Anyway everyone had to follow the same regulations so there’s not much unfairness to complain about.

They probably thought it was like New Zealand, since he also says here in New Zealand it was different rules but somehow Australia has different rules, I think UFC should've solved this problem before making fights in Australia, 2 different weight cut rules makes no sense for the organization, if you are fighting in UFC, the rules should be same everywhere, but Australia making their own rules
