When I said Sit down and Talk I was referring to peace talking which is something else. the Palestinians were never willing to do that because to them there is nothing to discuss. Its all or nothing. The mindset of both sides need to change and that's a fact. Also, getting to the main problem is what I believe the world needs to do instead of in flaming the situation. Hopefully the best brains on the field can direct us closer to the solution may it be.

@@jchan9761 in my opinion they don't have to. Because even if we are right about history what's currently happening on the ground in your current time is what's relevant. So your dad was a killer that makes you a killer too? So your ancestors were victims does that mean you are a victim? Basing on history is important to prove points and find solutions but you can't base everything on that. I agree it will only make the conversation better though.

Are people sure that it is not the Palestinians that are doing the colonizing and who are the colonizers? I've run into a good number of stories about how so many of the Palestinians came to Israel during the time of the British Mandate, for jobs and a good standard of living. Many of them have surnames from places like Syria or Egypt or other places in the Arab world. They have these great little stories about how they would visit their grandparents or other family members in Egypt, Syria, or other places. How they took the train or a caravan to visit and what things were like when they got there. There are also little stories about how they migrated to Israel in the first place and what happened when they got there. People should not have to give up their true family histories to suit the Hamass or Islamic narratives. A good number of them were also Bedouin nomads, with no sense of fixed place or borders within the Arab world. In addition, a good number of them fled from Egypt as draft dodgers during the 1800s. This all doesn't make for Israel being their historic homeland. It just doesn't.
