I was going through cancer treatments and surgery, so I stuck close to home. I've been cancer free since July of 2022.

Your work is massively appreciated the effort can be seen in every shot. Not doing much in the UK right now and found out last night my grown up daughter has the virus, she's a carer in a dementia home and caught it there. Lots of phone and video calls to her and her little family. Nice to see how reflective your presentation is becoming as this event becomes more real. Stay safe and God bless you and your family.

My husband and myself are recovering from the virus. He has been 8days in ICU. We hope this is over soon . We are feeling blessed . So ready to eat back to life.

I've been out of work for five weeks. I have also not been in the grocery store for four weeks. I've been living off of my pantry... and will be dipping into my hiking supplies of camp food if push comes to shove. I was passing the time hiking on my local trail until it became too crowded with people three weeks ago. I have been in my house for the past 20 days and getting a little bit of cabin fever, only to leave the house to get the mail. I've been living vicariously through your videos. Keep them coming.

I broke my right leg crossing a creek stepping stone to stone just like you. My foot went down between 2 big rocks that wobbled, I fell saw my leg break! Landed in the freezing cold water had to lay there till the rangers came to rescue me. A bad spiral fracture in my tibia and fibula. 5 months in a cast.... like March to the end of august. So be careful .

I was camping in the snow a couple months ago (7200’ elevation) with some friends. Just like you, the day was gorgeous with a gentle breeze blowing. Wind gusts up to 35 mph with lows in the 20s were forecast to start in the wee hours of the morning. Well...the forecast was wrong! Wind gusts over 100 mph (according to the weather service in Reno, NV) hit the area we were in - and a gust of 209 mph hit Kirkwood Ski Resort less than 10 miles from us. It was CRAZY. The wind flattened my tent on more than one occasion that night. I took video because I felt like no one would believe me. It felt like demons were beating on the tent. Needless to say, we all packed our gear and got the heck out of there. The way back was...interesting. A couple in the group were knocked over by the gusts on the way up the ridge. Trees were falling all over the place.

Well Luke I’ve been working in a community garden which I joined 3 weeks ago no gardeners have showed up so I lock myself in and grow some food and straighten out the garden alot of work and a good work out having a blast to tell you the truth love it ,, so Luke be well be safe stay healthy ,,happy trails ,,😋👍🏻

Since the pandemic started, I've been working more hours since I'm an essential worker. Doesn't leave much for family life and of course enjoying the great outdoors. I'm ready for a weekend vacation trip into the woods! The one good thing about working a lot of pandemic OT, is the new gear I can afford now!

Here in Northern California, as well as the rest of the state, we are in 'lockdown' until the end of April. I've been sorting and resorting my hiking and camping gear in hope of a trek to Eldorado County in early May. Also, I am making 'DIY' hand sanitizer and giving to friends and neighbors. I love two things military aviation (Ex apache maintainer) and the outdoors, you are by far my favourite outdoor UKpostsr. Always excited when I get a notification of an upload by yourself. Once they develop a vaccine, the situation will improve tremendously. I am "gifted with age" and I remember the polio crisis in the fifties. Watching You on UKposts, mainly. I'm disabled with 5 fused lumbar vertebrae. Used to Golf, ski , hike etc. Now been in lockdown for 9 years.

I caught the flu with chest congestion, scared the crap out of me. So some quarantine and back to work as an essential worker..

I was touched by the baby bird. Several years ago we had a few tornadoes go through my neck of the woods. In any event, we lost several large limbs on our property. I found a baby bird and didn't know what it was. I took it in and nursed it back to health. It turned out to be a baby Blue Jay. I slowly released that bird to the wild. After it was finally out of the house, every-time it saw me outside it landed on my shoulder. It was the coolest bird until I saw on day it had a mate. I was so happy for it and I never saw that Blue Jay again.

Luke, I thought I recognized that spot where the baby birds were. Glad you have feelings about sad things that happen. Stay safe. Even here in Alaska we are on lockdown.

Man I love your videos, they are very in depth and a lot of fun to watch especially when the circumstances do not allow me to get out! I spent one night like that in a secret spot of mine, sky was lemon yellow at 8pm, trees looking as though they could all fall over because of how intense the wind was. In the forest I was in I will say it was a bit sketchy, but the experience will definitely stick with me forever. Again thanks for all your content we all appreciate it!

I envy you. All of Washington states parks ( including the federal ones) are closed. I want to go camping so badly. I went to to the coast before Oregon's governor lost her shit and forced Governor Inslee to close all campgrounds. And had a ball. I'm not the camping type but I am planning to do a wild camp focused bike tour next year. So I decided to give my gear a test run. It worked pretty ok. Definitely needed a extra wide pad. I spent a cold windy night at Thomas Knob shelter a few years ago on a late October trip. The wind was incredibly strong even though I set up in a small clearing surrounded by trees. I stayed awake most of the night as the wind pushed my tent over and threatened to break my poles. The only thing I could do was sit up in my sleeping bag and hold on to the tent.

I work in IT in London. Since before lockdown I have been isolated, as I had a slight cough, so have been locked down for nearly four weeks in a small apartment. It has been super boring, but I have got a lot of PC games to play, so could be worse. I would love to just get out of the city, but not possible. Appreciate the videos Luke, Suzie and fam!

Love your trips so sorry this trail wasn't quite good as you had hope it to be but I am glad you got to do this trip before lock down time. :) So sorry it was so wet and wow super windy. My hubby and I usually watch you together but he was rushed to hospital wed. And today he had emergency surgery triple heart bypass surgery this afternoon. :( Please pray for my hubby Terry my husband he is an army veteran 64 years young.:) We almost to 40 years married.:) Hugs Toni Grandon love your adventures. :) found out they had to do 4 bypass heart surgery Thursday afternoon. :(

Hi Luke Buddy. UK (Scotland) here. Been on a form of lockdown for three weeks now. Furloughed workwise so on 80% salary (backed by our govt) and only able to get out for shopping and about an hour a day for excercise. No hikes, no campouts, but have had the tent out in the garden. Stay safe dude.

Hi from the UK, we went into self isolation a week before our government told the rest of the UK it was on lockdown on the 23/03/20 I've not been outside since the 14 of March, my partner has COPD and a heart condition and I've got diabetes so we have another 9 weeks in lockdow, watching as many videos on UKposts, so grateful for all the hard work people like yourself do for people like us. I live in Sweden and I have been practicing social distancing. I work in a school so we cant work from home as so many others here do. No shopping unless really needed. I live in a house with a large garden so we are lucky, all those in apartments have it so much tougher. My mother has been totally isolated for a month and she is preparing for it to keep that way until there is a vaccine. We wont see her in person for 1.5 yrs unless the vaccine comes along quicker. We keep in contact through the internet though. We are in this together as you say in your vid, all of us and all over the world. Stay safe all!♥️

Well I’m one of the fortunate ones who is still working in the Colorado Resort industry, our department alone furloughed over 50 full and part time workers. I feel so bad for them, it’s not a paid furlough. Other than that, hanging at the house BBQ’n, getting out at least once a week. This weekend got the kayak out. That was quite refreshing. Again blessed to be working still while literally millions are not. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!!

Here in the UK (I'm in London which has been the worst hit) we've been under lockdown for over a month now and your videos have been keeping me going! Unfortunately we don't have the vast open spaces that some of you folks have in the US and elsewhere in Europe, and I live in London which is nowhere near our national parks anyway!! But even for those in the Lake District, the Scottish Highlands, and all those kind of places the lockdown is being enforced and there simply isnt enough space for the number of people who would be hitting the trails. I imagine a few wild campers are getting out there but on the whole the population is following the rules and staying inside. I am DESPERATE to get out in my tent but for now your videos are the best I can get, so please keep them coming! Your dedication to the channel has never been more appreciated! Stay safe out there!

Just stepped out a few times.. maybe 4 I think for supplies etc. Funny things: teeth infection 1 / got food poisoning / got hurt in my back to the point I couldn't move aaaaand me and my wife separated... on the positive side I quit smoking and no covid 19. Thx, another fine adventure. I remain amazed at all the footage filmed from another angle, so much work. Also, nice editing combining approach and leave shots, great way to keep the pace in the narrative. Maybe next time you could bring some factor 30, avoid sunburn!

I love to see isolated camps in rain. Just love to hunker down and hear it and enjoy the solitude. Love it for more rainy camping. I appreciate all the backtracking you have to do to film this and it's marvelous. It is a good deal more work, to show you moving past the camera, for you.

Luke, since you asked. I drive truck, so I have been working and staying busy. I'm lucky if I get one night home in a 2 week period. Wishing this pandemic would wind down so I can get some time off and get into the woods.

Hey Luke! That was some intense wind no doubt. I'm in Westchester County NY and I've been working from home since March 12th. Unfortunately I am totally grounded at this point, there are just way too many people here visiting the parks for me to even think about getting in a good multi-mile hike, let alone an overnight. What I've been doing is using the property that my office is located on to get in some walks. It's been working out well but I miss climbing mountains. Let's see.... Self isolation basically since 2010 when I lost my son. This Covid is impacting my life like others.... It took my ex, the boys mother eight months ago, more isolation. That story with the birds you found was touching and heartfelt, the tears proved it. I've been trying to get back into backpacking, I'm 62 and hope has left me again Just wishing for a chance to come within oneself please. (If you can't already tell, I've lost what little hope ( and sanity) I have left, long time viewer, don't show it in the "like" column or the comments but I do get the philosophy of the show and Luke's spirit and endeavor to give the best out there. When I’m not at work (40-60 hour/week) I’m at lock down. I’ve been ordering new gear to make my back pack to be light weight. So when I can hike again I’ll enjoy it more.

I'm from England, we're still on a semi-lockdown. Essential & key workers are allowed to go to work. We're allowed to go shopping for essential items & allowed to exercise outside once a day as ling as you keep 2 metres from anybody who you don't live with & can only drive if it's essential. So I've just been walking & cycling to my local nature reserve a few minutes from my home so I don't need to take the car. I've been garden "wild camping" hehe a few times just for a change to mix things up a bit. Glad to have your adventures to watch to keep me entertained. Keep them coming but also stay safe & well xx
