One of the best things about a gibbs run is seeing the defenders go flying at the end of the run when contact is made, especially at the sidelines. Gibbs put that shoulder down and wins 80% of the time. Tough dude for his size.

After the 24-25 season Gibbs will be a top 2-3 RB in the league. He has the highest upside currently out of any rb in the league. Dude is special. Gibbs was my favorite player in last years draft and I’m a Lions fan so when we drafted him I was screaming at the TV and jumping up and down with joy.

He is so elusive and explosive. He busted up for a bunch of 20-40yd runs. I believe next year we will see a plethora of 50+ yards runs outta him. Even with D-Mo, Gibbs will get well over 1,500 all-purpose yards and at least a dozen TDs 💪

Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 945 yards this season. He was also known for his blazing, pure speed, so he was very physical for his size at 5 foot 9 and 200 pound back. He runs like a powerful back.

Brad Holmes said we didn’t draft Jahmyr because he was a running back, we drafted him because he’s a special football player. They were going to draft him at 6, but they were able to trade back and get the pick that turned into Sam LaPorta. Genius move.

What’s also INSANE about Gibbs season is NOBODY talked about him, nor even heard of him during the draft! EVERYBODY were so stuck on Bijon Robinson. Not only that, BLASTED Brad Holmes for picking him 12th overall. Almost same as LaPorta, nobody really talked about him in the draft or mock draft conversation. Now we have thee best rookie picks! Jahmyr is special. He's that rare combo of speed, slash and power. I was worried about how he'd take the hits, given his frame. But he dishes out like a pure power back. One on one tackles, it the d player going backwards. Wait til they incorporate him more in their passing game next year. I'll take him over any secondary defender, one on one.

You could see the announcers dance around the comparison to Barry Sanders, because there's a degree that they are considerably different types of player and how they are used, and so a direct comparison IS to no small extent unfair. He's more of a Marshall Faulk-type scat back whereas Barry was honestly a more traditional half back at least in terms of playcalls and formations. But where I think you CAN make a comparison is in their potential effect on a game, because they are both dynamic, electric playmakers where any time they get the ball, no matter where they are on the field, it carries the possibility for 6.

Man and he's only going to be better next season is what's crazy. So fun to watch but still hurts to watch highlights of that 9er game. it was in our hands. Next year it's us

I love that run against Denver where he went 30 or so yards, juking multiple defenders. He was soooo close to making a cut back to juke the last one for a TD. He knew that run would have been Barry-esque type highlight, so there was a slight moment of disappointment. But the dude is a rookie, I cannot wait to see his highlights throughout his career.
