The caller wasn't obliged to call up and make those false accusations without having any facts to support them but he did it anyway and JOB's been on LBC long enough for people to understand that he won't give you a free pass to say anything on the radio without it getting challenged for concrete evidence. If a caller ends up feeling humiliated they should re-evaluate the claims they come on to make next time. we're living in an age of near persistent disinformation and whatever their political leanings, all news outlets needs to ensure that the information being broadcast to their viewers or listeners is challenged and fact checked, regardless of whether it comes from the hosts themselves or an ignorant caller making baseless claims that they end up admitting on air that they are indeed baseless.
